Proper recycling is essential to maintaining a clean and sustainable community, and Giordano Company Inc. emphasizes strict guidelines to ensure the integrity of the recycling stream. We only collect clean recyclables, including Plastics #1, #2, and #5, Glass, Aluminum, flattened and tied Cardboard Boxes, Newspapers, Magazines, Soft Covered Books, and Junk Mail. While packaging stream paper is acceptable, it must be cut to legal size and protected from the elements when placed in the bin. Contaminants such as packaging peanuts, Styrofoam of any kind, shredded paper, and plastic bags of any kind/color are strictly prohibited, as they compromise the recycling process. Since Giordano does not provide bins, we recommend using blue bins between 32 and 64 gallons, clearly labeled “RECYCLING” if another color is used. To ensure timely collection, bins should be placed curbside the night before or by 6 a.m. on collection day. Please note that bins smaller than 32 gallons are not eligible for damage coverage. Claims for approved bins require video proof of staff-caused damage emailed to service@gogreengiordano.com within 3 days of the incident; late claims will not be approved. Following these guidelines helps us all contribute to a more efficient and environmentally responsible recycling program.
