We’ve run four safe and successful residency programs at UnionDocs during the pandemic and have been able to set up a solid set of health and safety protocols in order to make this experience as safe, smooth, and supportive, as possible.
In abiding by City and State guidelines, we are requiring all residents to get tested twice before the start of the program.
Once all residents have tested out of their quarantine after arrival at the residency, you will officially become a Pod, though regular testing will still be encouraged and required especially if you are coming and going from the residency with frequency.
We have regularly scheduled cleaning and disinfections of the common spaces, but participants must ensure that their personal equipment and workstations are also regularly cleaned and disinfected, including at least as often as employees and participants change workstations.
We are providing Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) products identified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as effective against COVID-19.
Our outdoor lean-to is equipped with socially distanced workspaces configured to create more distance between employees, lab participants and guests. We encourage use of the outdoor space for any socializing with people outside of the immediate pod.
We are limiting indoor guests to residents and members of the Pod only. Visitors are welcome in the common outdoor spaces, including the deck and backyard.
We’ve got a list of resources and locations for free testing around UnionDocs to make your experience as convenient and comfortable as possible.
A detailed quarantine and testing protocol is in place, in case of COVID exposure within the residency.
