NEWBERY ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Dear Newbery Families,        

Our number one priority is the safety of our students. Here are some helpful tips. Follow all signs and model positive behavior at all times. Dogs are not allowed on school property.

ARRIVAL: Follow all signs and model positive behavior at all times. To ensure the safest option please remain in your vehicle at all times.   Please pull all the way forward, and teach your child to have their belongings ready, and exit quickly on the right side of the car, onto the sidewalk.  It is important that our students do not arrive on campus prior to the stated arrival times due to our supervision staff not being present. Wait for the bell to ring at 7:20. Equally as important is to enter the parking lot by 7:35. Entering later will increase the likelihood of your child being tardy. Once your child arrives at school they can either line up with their class or eat breakfast.  Each location has supervision to ensure your child is safe.

DEPARTURE: Students will exit the building with their teachers and will be supervised. Follow all signs and model positive behavior at all times. To ensure the safest option please remain in your vehicle at all times.   Please pull all the way forward. Displaying the name tag speeds up the process and helps immensely.  Prepare your vehicle so your child can enter on the right. Staff will help students to their car.

ARRIVAL: Walk your child to the closest bus stop. Once your child arrives at school they can either line up with their class or eat breakfast.  Each location has supervision to ensure your child is safe.

DEPARTURE: Students will exit the building with their teachers and will be supervised in their bus lines. Kinders must have a parent present at the bus stop to be dropped off.

ARRIVAL: As you walk to school please model correct behavior, such as using sidewalks, looking both ways, and using the crosswalk. Dogs are not allowed on school property.  It is important that our students do not arrive on campus prior to the stated arrival times due to our supervision staff not being present. Once your child arrives at school they can either line up with their class or eat breakfast.  Each location has supervision to ensure your child is safe. Please do not enter areas that are designated as “student only”.  This helps ensure student safety and allows students to socialize and develop independence.

DEPARTURE: Students will exit the building with their teachers and will be supervised. Please meet the teacher at the front of the building to pick up your child (Kinders are only allowed to walk with adults or older responsible siblings). As you walk to school please model correct behavior, such as using sidewalks, looking both ways, and using the crosswalk. Dogs are not allowed on school property.

Estimadas familias de Newbery,

Espere a que suene el timbre a las 7:20. Igual de importante es entrar al estacionamiento antes de las 7:35. Entrar más tarde aumentará la probabilidad de que su hijo llegue tarde. Una vez que su hijo llegue a la escuela, puede hacer fila con su clase o desayunar.  Cada ubicación tiene supervisión para garantizar que su hijo esté seguro.

SALIDA: Los estudiantes saldrán del edificio con sus maestros y serán supervisados. Siga todas las señales y modele un comportamiento positivo en todo momento. Para garantizar la opción más segura, permanezca en su vehículo en todo momento.   Por favor, avance completamente. Mostrar la tarjeta con el nombre agiliza el proceso y es de gran ayuda. LLEGADA: Mientras camina a la escuela, modele el comportamiento correcto, como usar las aceras, mirar a ambos lados y usar el paso de peatones. No se permiten perros en la propiedad de la escuela.  Es importante que nuestros estudiantes no lleguen al campus antes de los horarios de llegada indicados debido a que nuestro personal de supervisión no estará presente. Por favor no ingrese a áreas designadas como “solo para estudiantes”.  Esto ayuda a garantizar la seguridad de los estudiantes y les permite socializar y desarrollar su independencia.

SALIDA: Los estudiantes saldrán del edificio con sus maestros y serán supervisados. Reúnase con el maestro en el frente del edificio para recoger a su hijo (a los niños de jardín de infantes solo se les permite caminar con adultos o hermanos mayores responsables). Mientras camina hacia la escuela, modele el comportamiento correcto, como usar las aceras, mirar a ambos lados y usar el paso de peatones. No se permiten perros en la propiedad de la escuela.
