School Registration Information 2024-25

We recommend that you print off your appropriate grade/program worksheet in order to help you with your on-line registration. Paper copies are available from the school if necessary.

1. Student is currently attending a Winnipeg School Division school?

- Apply to Kelvin via the WSD portal on our website under “School Registration Information” beginning February 16th when the link is activated. You require your child’s WSD username (without the @live.wsd1.org) and password.  Instructions for the portal available here as well.

        - Complete the grade level worksheet (see links above)

- Print the “Student Application Package” (6 pages) and hand in all copies to us.  Ensure you have parent/guardian signatures on all pages.  If you have moved, make the change on the page and provide proof of new residence.

2. Student lives in WSD but is new to the division (never attended a WSD school)?

        -  Complete the Winnipeg School Division Application on-line (Link)

        -  Complete grade level worksheet (see link above)

-  Provide the following information through email or hard copy:

• Student’s legal full name (Birth certificate or passport)
• Citizenship (immigration documentation)
• Transcript/most recent report card from current/previous school attended
• Health card
• Proof of current address (Copy of first page of lease/rent/mortgage agreement/property tax).  A drivers license is no longer accepted.

  -Print all of the above  and submit them to Kelvin High School.  Ensure you have

   parent/guardian signatures on all the pages.  

3. Student is a non-resident (does not live in the Winnipeg School Division) who has never attended a WSD school?

- Complete the Non-Resident Form NON-RESIDENT FORM

        - Complete a School of Choice form SCHOOL OF CHOICE FORM 

        - Complete a WSD Application (Link)

        - Complete grade level worksheet (see link above)

        - Provide the following information through email or hard copy:

• Student’s legal full name (Birth certificate or passport)
• Transcript/most recent report card from current/previous school attended
• Health card

• Print all of the above and submit to Kelvin High School.  Ensure you have parent/guardian signatures all relevant pages.
• Please note, acceptance is based on numerous factors including program, grade request, space availability and class size.  Non-catchment applicants will be contacted before the end of June.
• Submitting an application is simply making a request.  It is not an automatic acceptance.  You will be notified of your child’s registration status. Non-catchment applicants will be contacted before the end of June.
