Dear Students and Families,

We are so excited about the 2024-2025 school year! The faculty and staff at Norcross Elementary hope you had a great summer and are ready for the new school year to create new memories with a new teacher and new classmates, and to continue to learn and grow in academics and behavior.

Our theme for the 2024-2025 school year is "Making an Impact: We are All N" (see picture/logo at the top of the page). In thinking about our work, our impact for the year, we do not anticipate too many changes. Our goal is to be "ALL N" (all in) refining and improving our practices, actions, behaviors, and strategies resulting in positive student learning and behavior outcomes. Families, will you please  join us in being “ALL N” to do IMPACTFUL work for our Eagles?  You can make an IMPACT by volunteering at our school, being a part of our Local School Council (LSC), and by joining us in establishing a Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Please reach out to our parent center (770-326-8006  or 770 -448-3168) if you are interested in the opportunities to make an IMPACT.

Please read the information below for helpful information.

School Supplies

In addition to a new beginning, one of my favorite things about the start of a new school year is getting new school supplies. However, we know this can be expensive. So, we will provide basic school supplies for our students. There are very few items you will need to purchase for the 2024-2025 school year. Use the link to access the school supply list.

A basic book bag will also be available and furnished upon request. The supplies will be given to your child’s teacher who will disperse. Finally, you may want to purchase school supply items for use at home.

Free and Reduced Applications

Free and reduced-price lunch forms must be completed each school year. While we will have paper applications available, it takes longer for the paper application to be processed. Thus, you are strongly encouraged to use the online application link that follows to allow for quicker processing (https://www.nlappscloud.com/Welcome.aspx?apply=1&api=78f8fee54716f21218e523747d37a13c#loaded ). Please complete the application prior to September 16 to avoid charges on your child’s account.

Key Dates

We look forward to seeing you at Meet Your Teacher Day (MYTD) on Wednesday, July 31 from 8:30 am - 11:30 am. At MYTD,  you will meet the teacher for the new school year and gather other pertinent information from the teacher. For new students, this will be your opportunity to register for school, however, we encourage you to register prior to Wednesday, July 31 to avoid long waits.
