Middle School Weekly Update 11/17/2023

The 6th grade classes have been busy filling our hallways with projects. These students have done an excellent job of being creative and artistic while completing math problems, doing research and learning lab safety rules.  These students should be very proud of their projects because we definitely are proud of them!

On Monday, November 13th, The Navy Club of Carbon County presented a program to our 6th grade students on Respect for Our Flag.  These three gentlemen were wonderful at sharing their knowledge of the meaning of our flag and their mutual respect for our flag.  Our students enjoyed participating during the program, especially learning how to properly fold a flag.  We are very proud of the respect that the 6th grade students showed these Navy Veterans.

On Monday, November 13th,  “Big J” of the Harlem Wizards visited the middle school for an assembly.  “Big J” did an awesome job of entertaining the students and educating them on what the Harlem Wizards do and who they are.  During this short assembly the students learned that some of the staff from the middle school will be joining staff from the elementary and high schools on a team to play basketball against the Harlem Wizards.  This charity game will be held at the elementary center on November 29, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.  We hope that many families and community members will join us for this fun filled family night that will benefit the Lehighton Education and Athletic Foundation.  Hope to see you there!
