How did we determine the 2022 Call for Code Challenge theme?
Sustainability is a top priority for communities and companies around the world. But innovative solutions are needed to meet the sustainable development goals set forth by the United Nations. At its core, sustainability is a social and environmental justice issue. Sustainability practices and solutions need to benefit all communities, but especially those communities that have been marginalized and polluted in the past. Technology is key, as it can provide effective, scalable solutions to address sustainability challenges.
