Death of a Partner Worksheet

Losing a partner is a devastating experience. You may feel that you are unsure of what to do to help you feel better. It is important to reach out for help and support.

This activity can help you find a way to express some of the thoughts and feelings that you have swirling around inside your mind and heart.

Writing a letter to your partner can help you express yourself as if you were still talking to them. These letters can be kept or ceremoniously torn up or burnt to release the content and feelings associated with what you have said.

Remember to be gentle with yourself while writing these letters - there is no judgment to what you are saying. You may need to take a break in the middle of writing the letter - that is fine - listen to what you need during this process.
