Objectives

The primary objective of Startup i3 is to provide a dynamic platform for aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and innovators to engage in a comprehensive three-day residential boot camp focused on ideation, innovation, and incubation. The core objective is to empower participants with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to transform their creative ideas into successful and sustainable startup ventures.

  1. Ideation:

Foster creative thinking and idea generation through targeted workshops and activities. Encourage participants to explore and refine their entrepreneurial concepts. An ideation based on problem solving and to build products which have a clear use case.

  1. Innovation

Create an environment that promotes cutting-edge thinking and exposes participants to the latest trends, technologies, and strategies in the world of startups. Facilitate hands-on experiences that challenge participants to think innovatively.

  1. Incubation

Provide a supportive ecosystem for the incubation of projects, offering mentorship, guidance, and resources to help participants develop their ideas into viable and scalable startups.

  1. Networking

Facilitate meaningful interactions and connections between participants, experienced entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and potential investors, fostering a collaborative environment that extends beyond the event.

Host Institution Responsibilities:

Application Process

Interested academic institutions are invited to submit an expression of interest by submitting EOI on the official site of Kerala Startup Mission IEDC. Please include the following details:

  1. Application calling and beneficiary selection
  2. Venue and logistical arrangements.
  3. Estimated budget and financial proposal.
  4. Previous experience in organising similar events.
  5. Images of proposed venue and residential facilities (60pax)

If the institute has any particular proposal same shall be submitted with the below details

  1. Overview of the proposed program structure.
  2. Details of experienced facilitators and mentors.
  3. Course structure
  4. Programme design
  5. Programme schedule | Day wise
  6. Curriculum
  7. Workshop handouts, ideation tools, and resources to be provided
  8. Post workshop support extended
  9. Estimated budget and financial proposal.
  10. Previous experience in organising similar events(Reports and photographs).

Submission Deadline

The submission deadline for EOIs will be clearly specified on the IEDC Website. Late submissions may not be considered.

Evaluation

A designated evaluation committee will review all submitted EOIs based on the specified criteria as above and assess their suitability for the Startup i3 Bootcamps.

Shortlisting

The evaluation committee will shortlist institutes whose EOIs align with the predetermined selection criteria. Shortlisted institutes will be contacted for further discussions and presentations, if necessary.

Presentation

Shortlisted institutes may be invited for an interview or presentation to better understand their requirements, business objectives, and how they intend to use the coworking space.

Notification

All institutes will be notified of the outcome of their EOI submission. Successful institutes will receive instructions for the next steps, including agreements, payments, and onboarding.

Confidentiality

All submitted EOIs and accompanying documents will be treated with strict confidentiality. Information provided will only be used for the purpose of evaluating eligibility for the coworking space.

Discretion and Decision

Kerala Startup Mission reserves the right to make the final decision on accepting or rejecting any EOI submission. The decision is non-negotiable and will be communicated to all institutes.

  1. Certified that the Institute welcomes participation of Dr./Shri/Smt./Km. ____________________ as the Principal Coordinator and Dr./Shri/Smt./Km. _____________________________________________________ as the Co-Coordinator for the project and that in the unforeseen event of discontinuance by the Principal Coordinator the Co-Coordinator will assume the responsibility for the fruitful completion of the project (after obtaining consent in advance from DST).
