HS East is offering a FREE SAT FULL LENGTH PRACTICE TEST on Saturday, January 26th from 9am-12:45pm. Interested students should see their counselor for registration information.
All students who are enrolled in Option 2 Personal Finance for Semester 1 must complete the course by Monday, January 7 in order to receive credit. The Final Exam will be given on Thursday, January 10, and Friday, January 11th during Period 2 in the Lecture Hall. Students will be given passes in homeroom on the day of the exam. Please make sure you check the day and date on the pass. Any student who needs a study guide for the exam, please stop in the Guidance Office and pick one up.

The HISTORY CLUB will is going on its 17th annual trip to MEDIEVAL TIMES. If you are interested, see Mr. Cohen in Room E 5B for a permission slip. The cost of the trip is $60 and will be held on Sunday, January 27th. The trip will only be available to the first 50 students to hand in their money and permission slip.
The next meeting of the MEDICAL CLUB will be Thursday, December 20th. The Ocean County Health Department will be setting up interactive activities featuring nutrition, drugs and alcohol, and infectious diseases. All are welcome!

ATTENTION BILINGUAL SENIORS! There will be a Seal of Biliteracy Test on Tuesday, February 5th to become certified bilingual. The languages that will be available are Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Hindi, Japanese, Thai AND MORE! There will be an informational meeting held on January 8th right after school in the Media Center. For registration and questions see Mrs. Rodriguez in E29 or any other world language teacher.
The KEY CLUB is selling "RAIDERS FIGHT CANCER" wristbands for $1 each. Proceeds go to the Key Club and to Cancer Research. See a Key Club member or Mrs. Weinberger in Guidance for a wristband.
ATTENTION ALL RAIDERS!!! The SPANISH CLUB and SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIEITY is hosting a HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE for low income families enrolled in the Headstart Program! Need a little help with your college entrance essays? Having difficulty with that research paper? Or would you just like another set of eyes to proofread your assignments? The WRITING CENTER provides tutors to help with all types of writing assignments. The WRITING CENTER will be open every Tuesday and Thursday after school in W-20. The COFFEE CORNER IS OPEN!!! Our doors open at 7:15 in Room E16. Keurig coffee is available at all times, and fresh brewed coffee is available by 7:30. $1.00 for coffee or tea, and 50 cents for any snacks (doughnut, muffin, etc.) Our students work the coffee shop periods 3 & 6 and will greet you at the door and check you out at the register, but we are open ALL DAY so any time the door is open just COME ON IN and help yourself! Please leave money on register or in tip jar when students not working. Stay tuned for upcoming lunch specials.
