Show Participant Information

Biography:  Bios are needed for all cast members & production staff for the playbill. Please submit them to your Production Coordinator.  Bios should be 75-100 words in length.  Submission Deadline is 2 weeks after the first read through. The form is online and can be found here

Publicity Night:  Scheduled 3 weeks prior to opening night.  Every show will have a different format to maximize the overall efforts of marketing the show.  This may include personal cast interviews, character based interviews/skits, or group ensemble staged performance clips. The material captured that night may or may not be used.  This is not a reflection on you or your show, it is simply our marketing team choosing the material that works with the overall marketing plan for the theatre.

Tech Sunday:  The Sunday before opening night will be Tech Sunday. If the Director A  potluck meal will be held between rehearsals. HCT will provide meat and soft drinks. Production Managers will create a sign-up to bring other sides.

Saturday Workday: Usually the week before Tech Sunday we ask that the cast contribute at least 2 hours of time to the theatre as volunteers. This could include but not limited to distributing posters, cleaning dressing rooms or lobby, or any project that the director or facilities manager has an urgent need to fix before opening night.  

Head Shots/ Group Shots: If you do not have a PROFESSIONAL headshot an HCT designated photographer will be scheduled for head shots or group shots (at the director’s discretion)

Purchases/ Receipts: Any purchases must be approved by the Production Managers. Turn in all receipts to Production Managers.

Costumes: Unless you have provided your own costume, costumes are property of HCT. Your costume designer will let you know the procedure for cleaning costumes after each weekend of the performance.  

Parking: During rehearsals, parking is okay in either the side lot or the lot behind the theatre. During performances, please park in the Habitat for Humanity lot, directly across from the front entrance to the theatre.

Fire Drill: A fire drill will be conducted during the course of rehearsals by a member of the production team.

Membership: Your work on this production qualifies you to become a member of HCT.  Annual dues are $15.00 ($25.00 for a family) and will qualify you to vote at the following year’s Annual Meeting.

Performances: There will be 9 performances of all main stage shows & 6 performances of 2nd stage shows. Friday & Saturday shows are at 7:30PM & Sunday shows are at 2:00PM. Invited Dress rehearsal will be the Wednesday before opening night of the show.  Each cast and crew member will be given ‘IDR’ tickets for that performance to give to friends or family (number of ‘IDR’ tickets will be determined by the Production Manager).

Tickets: Each actor in the show is given 1 comp ticket to be used during any performance of that production. Additional tickets can be purchased at the box office, online (, or by calling 828-692-1082.

Pets and children: Allowed to attend rehearsals, only with Director’s permission.
