Interestingly, every talk contains the following haiku at the bottom:

Official Web site

of The Church of Jesus Christ

 of Latter-day Saints

But it wasn’t flat

tires or the bus—it was a

powerful earthquake!

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/we-are-daughters-of-our-heavenly-father?lang=eng

Indeed, it can be

said of our mother that she

acted well her part.

… It is mothers who

most directly affect the

lives of their children.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/this-is-my-work-and-glory?lang=eng

I gave the plant some

water, and I put it in

the window for light.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/come-unto-me?lang=eng

Then came a moment

that has warmed my heart since I

was a little boy:

There is another

way you and I have felt Him

grow closer to us.

And they will feel His

love and find joy in being

drawn closer to Him.

We will on the Day

of Judgment stand before the

Savior, face to face.

I found strength and faith

in her parents, Robert and

Alissa Parker.

I was relieved that

they were safe but not surprised

at their location.

The question is “Are

we using these principles

to govern ourselves?”

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/catch-the-wave?lang=eng

It consisted of

only seven words: “This is

My Beloved Son.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/stand-strong-in-holy-places?lang=eng

Be assured that all

of the prophets before us

stood strong in their day:

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/the-power-of-the-priesthood-in-the-boy?lang=eng

But this young man needs

to know that this is the world’s

way, not the Lord’s way.

We can raise the bar

and vision for these young men,

and they will respond.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/your-sacred-duty-to-minister?lang=eng

You have probably

seen people mistreated like

this in your school too.

They are in your schools,

in your quorums, and even

in your family.

Put simply, it means

to do what the Savior would

do if He were here.

Ministering is

not just something we do—it

defines who we are.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/four-titles?lang=eng

I congratulate

you young men who have chosen

to be here today.

At times it will seem

that the path requires more

than we had wished for.

We “mourn with those that

mourn … and comfort those that stand

in need of comfort.”

I am sincerely

sorry if any priesthood

holder feels this way.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/we-are-one?lang=eng

When he was very

young, his parents brought him to

Utah for safety.

But there is one way

in which we are one in our

charge in the priesthood.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/the-hope-of-gods-light?lang=eng

In the furrows of

despair, it can plant the seeds

of a brighter hope.

We don’t have to wait

to cross the finish line to

receive God’s blessings.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/its-a-miracle?lang=eng

We also pray for

our own opportunities

to share the gospel.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/obedience-brings-blessings?lang=eng

Both of us had been

warned repeatedly of the

dangers of fire.

Hinckley, “If Ye Be

Willing and Obedient,”

Ensign, Dec.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/lord-i-believe?lang=eng

The plural pronoun

us is obviously used

intentionally.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/followers-of-christ?lang=eng

We seek to follow

Him and become more like Him,

here and hereafter.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/the-home-the-school-of-life?lang=eng

Soon we had gathered

enough money to return

to Guatemala.

How easy it is

to send a text message of

love and gratitude!

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/being-accepted-of-the-lord?lang=eng

Even in the Church

we are not always free from

this type of thinking.

Alma counseled his

son Helaman, “See that ye

look to God and live.”

They accept us for

who we are and what we are

striving to become.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/2013/04/beautiful-mornings?lang=eng

Of the triumph of

Jesus Christ over sin and

death, I bear witness.
