Dear Families of St. John Bosco,

June is here! Hopefully we get some sunny weather to go along with it. Here are a few messages/reminders

1. There is no school for students on Friday, June 7th as staff have a report card planning day.

2. On Thursday, June 6th, Mary Lou's store is providing pizza for all the staff and students. Under the new Provincial School Food Guidelines, we are allowed to have three "treat days"  per year and we count this day as one. We ask that students bring their own drinks. The school lunch program will still be available on this day. Thanks to Michelle Howell-Bambrick for sponsoring this event every year.

3. Access to grades on power school for junior high students will be turned off this afternoon until report cards are released. Instruction is still ongoing. Teachers are still accepting late assignments and giving students opportunities to catch up on missed work. We encourage all students to take advantage of this.

4. The school lunch program ends on June 14th. Students will need to bring their own lunches for the last week of school.

5. There are a couple of field trips planned over the next few weeks - have an eye out for permission forms going home.

6. For Grade 6 parents - Chromebook Agreement forms are being sent home this week.

7. For Grade 9 parents - a reminder that our School Leaving Ceremony takes place on June 13th at the Shea Heights Community Center.

8. We will be partnering with the Shea Heights Community Board to host a neighbourhood clean up on June 18th. There will be a school wide BBQ after that hosted by the Community Center.

9. The last day of school is Thursday, June 20th and we will be dismissing at 1pm. We will work on a condensed day schedule. Students will have an extended recess but no lunch break.

Thanks for all your support throughout the year. We really couldn't do it without you folks!
