Good Afternoon Dawe School Dragon Families and Friends,
Happy Friday! I hope that this message finds you doing well! We had an incredible full first week of school and today was an amazing day at the Dawe with our students dressed sharply for their Fall LifeTouch School Pictures and our classrooms experiencing activities geared towards the celebration of Constitution Day! I wanted to pass along my gratitude for all of you that were able to attend our PTO Meeting last night - these meetings act as a great platform for information dispersal, community connections, and for your voice to be heard during the development of PTO plans to support our school community. Lastly, I wanted to wish everyone who celebrates Rosh Hashanah a Happy New Year! Please be sure to check out the following links to learn more about our Back to School Night (Thursday, September 21st) and the scheduled dates for this year’s MCAS Administration.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Please send your child(ren) to school with a snack each day
- Every Friday will be a “Spirit Day” at the Dawe - students and teachers are invited to wear New England Sports Gear, Dawe Dragon Gear, Black & Orange for Stoughton Pride, Crocs with Socks, or anything else they would love to wear to show school spirit!
- If possible, please send your child(ren) to school with a reusable water bottle that can be filled throughout the day using our filtered water dispensers
- If you think that you may be interested in volunteering this year (field trips, events, mystery reader, etc.), please be sure to fill out and return CORI forms and complete your fingerprinting as early in the year as possible
- If you are bringing your child(ren) to school late (after 8:35 am), you must accompany them in the building to sign them in
- If your child(ren) is going to be absent from school, please be sure to contact the main office and/or clinic
- If you need assistance getting a backpack, please do not hesitate to reach out as we have many in the school that have been generously donated to us
- If you need to dismiss your child(ren) prior to the end of the school day, please be sure to email/inform their classroom teacher so that the information can be shared with our main office as soon as possible
