What can I expect from this experience?

This immersive exhibition takes you on a fascinating journey through space and time.
Rediscover the origins of astronomical observation, relive the high points of the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union, and witness the very first lunar landing up close.
This immersive exhibition takes you to the heart of our solar system, from the rings of Saturn to the farthest reaches of distant galaxies.
Spectacular projections, authentic images and spellbinding music punctuate this unforgettable space journey.

It takes place in Port des Lumières, an indoor venue.

Where is Port des Lumières?

The exhibition is located at Port des Lumières, Platz am 10. Längengrad 1, 20457 Hamburg.

How long does the experience last?

 The tour lasts an average of 50 minutes.

Is there parking nearby?
Wherever possible, we recommend using public transport (the "Überseequartier" station on the "U4" subway line and stops on bus lines 2, 6 and 111 are in the immediate vicinity).
If you're arriving by car, you can use the public parking lot at the Westfield Hamburg Überseequartier.

Buying tickets

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased via the Fever app (You can download on App Store d'Apple or Google Play) or on the Fever website.
On-site ticketing is also available, but please note that we do not accept cash

We recommend that you book your tickets in advance to secure a time slot and avoid unnecessary waiting times.

What methods of payment can I use to buy my tickets online?
You can pay by credit card, Apple Pay, Paypal or Google Pay.

How do I know if my order has been successful?
Once payment has been made, you will receive an email confirming your purchase.

Do I have to print my ticket?
No, you can present your ticket on your smartphone.

Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can.

I can't find my ticket. What can I do?
You can find your ticket in the Fever app, in the "Tickets" section.
If you haven't yet installed the app, you can find it in the confirmation e-mail.

Are refunds allowed? What is the exchange policy?
Subject to availability, changes of date and/or time are permitted up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience.
Refunds are not allowed under any circumstances. For more information, you can refer to our T&Cs.

I won't be able to attend the reserved time slot, can I come to the one before or the one after?

Tickets are only valid for the date and time you have chosen.
However, if you are running late, you can arrive up to half an hour after the booked start time (this does not apply to the last start time of an exhibition).

The date I want is sold out. Can I buy tickets on site?
Priority is given to buying tickets online. You can buy tickets on site, subject to availability.

Do you offer passes for journalists?
Press card holders are entitled to free tickets, subject to validation by our press office.

Who is eligible for the family rate?
The family rate is available for 2 adults + 2 young people (aged 5 to 15).

Is there a discount for 65+ and accompanying persons?
There is a reduced rate for 65-year-olds. However, there is no special rate for accompanying persons, so you can choose our adult rate.

I'd like to visit Port des Lumières as a group. How do I make my reservation?

Is there an age requirement?
The experience is recommended for children above 5.

Is seating available in the exhibition areas?
Seating is available in the Port des Lumières.

Are there accessible toilets?

Yes, there are toilets available at the venue

Is the site accessible to people with reduced mobility?

The Port des Lumières is accessible to people with reduced mobility, with the exception of the stands in the main hall, but this won't prevent you from enjoying the experience to the full.
Wheelchair access is available on site. Our reception staff will be happy to help if you need assistance.

Do you offer carer tickets?

Yes. Visitors with a German disability ID marked with a “B” or an “H” may bring one carer free of charge. Valid ID must be presented on entry.

Are the exhibits suitable for people suffering from epilepsy and/or vertigo?
Due to the effects of light, the exhibits may present risks for people suffering from epilepsy or vertigo.

Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, we do not accept pets.
Certified service dogs are allowed inside.

Can I bring a suitcase to Port des Lumières?

Lockers are available at the Port des Lumières for your medium-sized bag. Suitcases are not permitted.

Can I bring a stroller?

Strollers are prohibited for safety reasons. We recommend you bring a baby carrier.
A stroller locker is available at the entrance.

Is coat check available?
Yes. Free lockers are available in the foyer for jackets, umbrellas, and bags. Anything larger than A4 (such as suitcases) must be stored before entering the exhibition.

Is there a Lost & Found?
There is no dedicated Lost & Found. If you lose something, please speak with a staff member on site for assistance or send an email to ahoi@port-lumieres.com 

Can I take photos and videos of the exhibition?
Yes, when taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other visitors. Tripods and professional accessories are not permitted

Is there a store?
Yes, there's a store where you can buy souvenirs.

Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
No, there is no food or beverage for sale on site.
Eating or drinking is not permitted inside the experience.

What are the prohibited items at the experience? Can I smoke or vape?
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout the venue.
The following items are not allowed:
- Large bags or backpacks (must be stored in lockers)
- Strollers and mobility aids inside the exhibition space (may be left in the foyer)
- Animals (except service dogs)
- Alcohol, drugs, dangerous items
- Flash photography, tripods, or laser pointers
- Food and beverages
