CHAMPIONSHIP/CONSOLATION GAMES

Overtime Format:

Championship and/or consolation games only - all other games can end in a tie

In the event of a tie score at the end of a championship and/or consolation game, the following standard will be used:

  1. Three (3) minutes will be put on the time clock.
  2. Each team will skate 4 vs. 4, plus one goalie per team.
  3. If the game is still tied at the end of the 3-minute overtime, the teams will participate in a shootout.  Each team will select 3 shooters.  If after 3 shooters the score is still tied, the shootout will go to sudden death.

Timeouts:

There will only be ONE timeout allowed per team and can only be used in the Championship/Consolation games.

As this is a USA sanctioned tournament, all players and teams must be recognized in the tournament schedule and by the National bodies of the US (USA Hockey) or Canada (CAHC). The use of any illegal or unauthorized player will result in immediate expulsion of the player and or team, and loss of all fees paid.

All championship/consolation games must be played. If one of the final teams is unavailable to play, the team with the next highest standing will take their place. No refunds, including partial, will be made once the tournament begins.
