Blessings everyone!

A new year has begun;Praise the Lord for new beginnings and refreshment!  It is our sincere hope that all of our students and families had a blessed holiday season and are ready  for 2018. This month's theme is “Winter Wonderland” , as we move along in the month of January we will have sub themes related to the season of winter, The Arctic, Dr. Martin Luther King, J.R. and nursery rhymes.  Each class will have special crafts/activities and events planned. Please make sure to carefully read all notices, flyers and emails;you don’t want to miss out on  what's happening in your child’s class!

Parents please note there will no school in observance of MLK day on Monday the 15. Towards the end of the month we will be having Preview Night . Please join us as will be sharing the vision God has placed in the hearts of the TCS family.   **Preview Night  January 23,@ 7 pm

Hello Families,

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. We have an exciting week planed. This week our focus will be on the letter Mm and the number 10. There will be planned activities for each of these concepts to help the children learn them. I also have a winter themed sensory experiment planned for the children to enjoy. Can't wait to have a fun week.

Pre-K

Bible: We will learn about The man in wilderness and move on to The 12. The verse for the month will be "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26.

Math:Concept of-Sets of 6-10, count to 35, number focus 7-8. Worksheets will go this week.

Art: Winter Wonderland crafts-snowflakes and penguins

Phonics: Again this week will be a review of letters H,I, J, K. Each letter will be reinforced with game/activity and a worksheet.

Science: This week we will explore ice, and make an” iceberg”

BIBLE

January theme is Winter Wonderland. January Bible memory verse is: Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26. Our Bible story this week will be about John the Baptist and Jesus picks disciples. This week's theme we will continue with winter.

ART

We will continue crafts on winter.

PHONICS

Learn Zz. Capital Z has a stick on the ceiling and another one on the floor. Then somebody built a slide connecting the two. Little z looks just like his daddy, only smaller. Learn z blends.

MATH

Count up to 40. Recognize 1-12

LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT

Character development on gentle. Read "A Baby Lamb is Born" from Growing Up With Amber Lamb. Language enrichment on up/down and heavy/light.

GROSS MOTOR DEVELOPMENT

2 times a week we will stretch and exercise. We will have a snow party on Friday January 12 to continue with winter fun. Please look for a sign up sheet to help, thank you.
