REGISTRATION AND FEE POLICY

1.2 There is no fee due at this point.
1.3 After completing pre-registration form, league coordinator will schedule 2 trial sessions for the player. These must be 2 consecutive sessions. Parents are welcome to stay and observe the trial sessions. Please make sure to discuss any limitations, expectations, or special requests with league coordinators at this point.
2. Registration and Dues
2.1 Once parents and players decide to continue with SCYCA full time, League coordinators will discuss the dues with you.
2.2 Registration Fee – A one-time non-refundable $100 fee, covering the admin fee and one-time SCYCA uniform*. Additional uniforms can be purchased at an additional premium.
2.3 Quarterly Dues – Depending on the level your player is recommended to enroll in, a quarterly fee will be due by the 6th day of every quarter.
Payments not received by the 6th day of the quarter will be subjected to a mandatory $25 late fee. Payments not received before the10th day of the quarter will result into cancellation of registration with SCYCA. Any scenario preventing you from making payment on time MUST be communicated to SCYCA in advance, not after the due dates.
2.4 SCYCA follows conventional quarters – Q1: Jan to March, Q2: April to June, Q3: July to Sep, Q4: Oct to Dec.
2.5 Please note that SCYCA reserves the right to review and change these fees as per their requirements to support infrastructure and coaching staff.
3. USA Cricket Registration
3.1 Once SCYCA registration is complete, it is mandatory for parents to complete USA Cricket sign-up at http://my.usacricket.org/
This membership is important for players to participate in any USA cricket recognized games and mandatory for insurance. If the player is younger than 13, you will have to sign-up as a parent and then it will prompt you to enter the player details followed by your personal details.
3.2 During Sign-up, make sure to select primary Club and primary League as “Southern California Youth Cricket Academy”. Once signed-up and membership is paid, please update the information in https://forms.gle/AqLaM4VSFgyKDZ368
3.3 Please understand that any dues for USA cricket membership are outside of SCYCA dues and USA cricket membership MUST be renewed annually by the parents. Please provide a valid email id during registration so USA cricket can send you reminders.
4. SCYCA Fee Proration
4.1 If necessary, one-time fee proration will be done based upon player joining date. For example, if player joins in Feb first week, his/her first quarter fees will be prorated to 2/3rd of regular first quarter dues. If someone joins march first week, his/her first quarter fees will be prorated to 1/3rd of regular first quarter dues.
4.2 Full quarterly fees will be due as described in section 2.4 above.
4.3 There is no other fee proration allowed by SCYCA.
5 Refunds and Partial Fee Waiver
5.1 Refunds and partial fee waivers are not allowed for any short term break a player is going to take from SCYCA. i.e. Travel, Vacation, school trips, schedule conflict due to other commitments etc.
5.2 Refunds or partial waivers are allowed (Subjected to committee approval) for some situations that are beyond anyone’s control i.e., Parents relocation due to job, serious medical injury or medical procedure. Please submit your request to Committee@scycricketacademy.com via email with all necessary documentation for SCYCA committee review in advance or as soon as you are aware of the medical situation. Each case will be reviewed independently.
5.3 If parents and player decide to take a quarter or more break, player will be marked inactive in SPOND app and will be removed from scheduling. Parents will also be dropped from WhatsApp groups and will not receive any communication going forward.
5.4 Whenever player decides to join back, fresh enrollment and registration fee will be required to be paid again.
6. Communication and Scheduling
6.1 WhatsApp is used for everyday communication in SCYCA. Parents will be added to the appropriate group upon completing all registration formalities.
6.2 SPOND App is used for all practice, game and tournament scheduling. Details will be provided by the league coordinator to join the right group in SPOND App.
