The ZPS Food Service Department is providing bulk packaged meals this summer.  Please see below for suggested meals that can be made with the food in your bag.  Menus are subject to change without notice.  If you have questions, please contact the ZPS Food Service Department via email at foodservice@zps.org or call (616) 748 - 3128. BREAKFAST:

Cereal (2 oz) (1)

Applesauce (1 container)

Milk (1 carton)

LUNCH:

Pepperoni Calzone (1)

Cucumber Slices (¾ cup)

Local MI Apple (1)

Milk (1 carton)

BREAKFAST:

Apple Frudel (1)

Red Seedless Grapes (½ cup)

Milk (1 carton)

LUNCH:

Ham & Cheese Sandwich (1 sandwich)

String Cheese (1)

Cherry Tomatoes (¾ cup)

Applesauce (1 container)

Milk (1 carton)

All foods requiring refrigeration need to be kept at a temperature of 41°F or below. Shelf-stable items should be stored at a temperature of 85°F or below.

Items Requiring Refrigeration includes:
Fresh Milk & Juices
String Cheese
Fresh Processed/Bagged Fruit & Vegetables, Cold Fruit Cups
Cold Sandwiches (i.e. Uncrustable)

If an item has heating instructions on packaging, follow manufacturer’s recommendations. Otherwise, see general heating instructions to the right to safely prepare products.

*USE CAUTION WHEN CONSUMING.
PRODUCTS WILL BE HOT.*

MICROWAVE
1. Open one end of the item's wrapper. (Do NOT remove it from the wrapper).
2.
 FROM FROZEN: Microwave on HIGH for 1 min 30 seconds
   
FROM THAWED: Microwave on HIGH for 45 seconds

 Product is ready to consume when an internal temp of at least 165°F is reached.
   
FROM FROZEN: If it has not, reheat on high at 30 second intervals until it is.
   
FROM THAWED: If it has not reached, reheat on high at 15-20 second intervals until it is.

 Remove item from microwave, remove from wrapper & let sit for 1 min before consuming. Consume within 2 hours.

OVEN
1.
 Preheat oven to 325°F
2. Leave unopened item in the wrapper. Place on a baking sheet.

 FROM FROZEN: Cook for 15 minutes
   
FROM THAWED: Cook for 10 min
4.
 Product is ready to consume when an internal temp of at least 165°F is reached. If it has not, leave in the oven & check the temperature every 5-10 minutes until it does.
5.
 Remove safely from the oven. Let sit for 5-10 min before consuming. Consume within 2 hours.
