You need a bundle of credits in grades 11 and 12, as follows:
A total of 4 of these Major Subject credits, with a minimum of 1 Grade 11 & 1 Grade 12 credit and 2 Coop credits linked to a major subject credit

Cooperative Education Students must complete 2 credits of Cooperative Education where the credits are linked to 1 of completed SHSM credits. Priority of links is Major credit. Placement must be within Business Sector. Please note: 3rd Coop credit may be used as a Major credit. |
During the school year, you will attend a total of (6) training courses. These are industry-recognized certifications and you will receive the appropriate certificates:
Sector Partnered Experience(SPE) developing Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship, JA Company Program, DECA, Business etiquette, cash handling and register training, counterfeit detection, effective networking, equity /inclusion, ergonomics, ethical considerations, fraud prevention, leadership skills, negotiation training, personality inventory, public speaking, retail representative, Stock Market Competition
You will have the opportunity to participate in Experiential Learning, Career Exploration, & Reach Ahead events designed to help you make informed decisions about your post-secondary pathway choices! These include guest speakers, field trips to local businesses, college & university visits, and events organized by outside organizations such as The Employment Hub, Skills Ontario, and local business organizations.
