The development of the Historic Route 20 Visitor Center has been a priority for our Route 20 communities and our organization over the past year.
Created on the same day as the more famous Route 66, US Route 20 spans 3,365 miles across the country from Boston, MA to Newport, OR attracting visitors from across the country and around the world.
The lure of the open road, a step back in time through small town America, and discovering the great unknown can be the experience many are seeking when they take the adventure on America’s Longest Highway, Historic Route 20.
I am writing to ask for your support in this exciting and purposeful project for our communities. Your contribution will go directly toward the development of the Historic Route 20 Visitor Center located in a 1924 former Mobil Gas Station in Chester, MA. The future Visitor’s Center has a prominent location on Route 20 and will serve as a stop for many traveling the historic route and those seeking an adventure in Western MA.
Historic Route 20 is a growing unique nonprofit organization. We offer a tool to work with small towns, historic sites, mom and pop businesses and even the National Park Service that focuses on economic development, historic preservation and tourism. While major funding for this Visitor Center project is expected from a grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, your support will help ensure our Visitor Center begins successfully.
We would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss our organization and project with you.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, supporting The Historic Route 20 Association may offer tax advantages for your company. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.
