MONTCLAIRE 5K - SEPTEMBER 29 - 8:30am

Whether you run, walk or crawl, you will surely enjoy the Montclaire 5K! The Montclaire 5K is a family event that provides everyone with the opportunity to work up a good sweat and have loads of fun - all while supporting our favorite elementary school. Sign-up the whole family and all your friends and neighbors.  The beautiful 3.1 mile course goes along Montclaire and the surrounding Highlands neighborhood and Rancho. We don't record individual times, but there will be a clock - everyone's a winner at the Montclaire 5K!

This event raises critical funds for Montclaire Elementary’s MPTO which is used to help staff support teachers and aides that benefit all Montclaire students along with art, music, and STEM activities that would not otherwise exist at Montclaire due to a lack of state funds.

Ever wanted to have your own street?  Make your Direct Donation to MPTO by Friday, September 6th and you will automatically be entered into a raffle to name the front circular drive at Montclaire for the 2019-2020 school year!  MPTO suggests that each family make a direct donation of $1000 per student per year.  Every GIFT helps bridge the educational funding gap, so click here to donate now!

Now is a great time to make your Direct Donation and/or underwrite 5K! GOT E-JUNK? Please gather your recyclable Electronics, Phones, Wires, Cables, TVs, Laptops, Desktops, CDs, DVDs, Printers, Monitors, Batteries, Small Household Appliances. No Metal Recycling please.

This time we have a 2 Day E-waste Collection Event. On Saturday, September 14th at 9am- 4pm and on Sunday, September 15th at 9am-1pm, a truck and helpers will be located in the Front Parking Lot of Montclaire Elementary School, ready to accept your E-junk - no cost to you and a portion of the proceeds will go to MPTO!  Please contact Hema Lakhani with any questions.

LOOKING FOR ‘WEEKLY BULLETIN’ VOLUNTEER FOR 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

Have you been looking for a way to get involved and volunteer with the MPTO but just can’t get away from the office? Here’s your chance! The Marketing & Communications department of the MPTO is seeking a volunteer to help compile the Friday Bulletins for the 2019 - 2020 school year. This position can be done remotely and requires about 2 hours per week. It’s a great way to collaborate with other parents while staying on top of all of the fabulous events during the school year. FUN Zone Needs You!

As part of Project Cornerstone, MPTO hosts the FUN Zone on Thursday’s at lunch time.  The FUN Zone (Friendly, Upstander or Understanding, and Nice) hosts some simple and fun activities at lunch. We typically need 2-6 parents per lunch to help with the craft or play activity. We have 2 wonderful Moms who are ready to help out, but we need someone to lead and plan the FUN Zone. It can be as simple as some coloring pages or fun pinwheels to run with on the field. If you are interested in keeping this awesome program going, please contact Cindy Klaje.
