Check List for 2-year Complimentary Membership Program
- Get state chapter President, Membership Chair, and Treasurer approval.
- Get approval from the National Office (email Trina at TKopacka@acda.org)
- Create a Bank Account line item to hold initial funds for one year
- Make a plan for unused funds in the 2nd year (must be used for approved state membership initiatives)
- Create a spreadsheet to track your program (For example, see Kathy Bhat’s spreadsheet used in Missouri)
- Create an initial intake form (Missouri example) for your state chapter to use to collect the first payment of $62.50. As this is a special program, POs cannot be accepted as payment.
- Once a member has paid the first installment, either share the National Comp Membership link to participate in the Comp Membership Program or fill it out on their behalf.
- In nine months, follow up with the member to renew for the second year and collect the second dues payment. Tell them to disregard the renewal notices from national and to NOT RENEW through national. They will be charged $125.00. No refunds will be issued.
- You will then send $125.00 and the member's name to National in the 2nd year to renew membership for those who have paid for two years at $62.50.
