Welcome to the Season 49 Predictions! Season 48 saw a new sheriff in town, Coach GiL_GaRZA raised the trophy as he defeated the previously undefeated Jets 20-17 in the Super Bowl. Season 48 was another excellent season with early advances, very low number of sims, and continuous activity that we haven’t seen in a long time. Entering Season 49 we have some questions. Will Pauly get back to the playoffs? Can anyone beat Garza? Will the new Titans coach bring some new luck to Tennessee? All this and more will be answered in the article below!

*Remember all these predictions are very in depth. We go game by game with the current schedule and predict games 1 by 1 and that's how we come up with our algorithms. Remember this is all in good fun and for some, some bulletin board material! Enjoy*

AFC East

Buffalo Bills - Coach Trigrdan
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (13-35) .271
Season 48 Buffalo Bills (5-11)
Season 47 Buffalo Bills (6-10)
Season 46 Buffalo Bills (2-14)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 299-285-1 (.512) | Playoff Record: (14-16)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 356-394 (.475)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: HB - Ameer Abdullah (82 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
SS - Jordan Poyer (85 overall)

Coach Trigrdan has not had much success with the Buffalo Bills in Madden ‘19 and it starts at quarterback. Justin Herbert threw 39 interceptions last season and only 18 touchdowns. They clearly need better QB play if they want to compete in the crowded AFC. Mark Ingram had a nice season for Trig, one of the lone bright spots, rushing for 1,218 yards. However the Bills went ahead and signed HB Ameer Abdullah and it looks like Abdullah might be getting the bulk of the carries entering the season. Trig went ahead and upgraded that line by drafting Center Cardarious Dodson out of FSU with their first pick. The Bills lost WR Corey Coleman in the off-season so they need Alshon Jeffery to return to form and put up a more “Alshon” season. The defense of these Bills is led by CB Tre’Davious White and S Micah Hyde, even though the Bills lost S Jordan Poyer, i believe the secondary is the strongest part of this defense. Olivier Vernon is back at OLB and Tremaine Edmunds at MLB to round out the top players on the defensive side of the ball.
In Final: The Bills have some strong players, no doubt about it, but i just don’t think they have the offense to compete with the Jets in this division. They will battle for 2nd place but i think they will fall short there too. Trig has been struggling and i think the struggle continues here in Season 49, but this season we will see Trig become the 5th coach to reach 300 wins here in the MOF.

Prediction: 4-12, 3rd place AFC East

Miami Dolphins - Coach Beers
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (12-28-1) .305
Season 48 Miami Dolphins (7-9)
Season 47 Miami Dolphins (1-15)
Season 46 Miami Dolphins (4-4-1)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 12-28-1 (.305) | Playoff Record: N/A
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 346-417-2 (.454)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: DT - Malik Jackson (79 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
WR - Albert Wilson (76 overall)

Congratulations to Coach Beers on winning AFC Comeback Coach of Season 48 for his 7-9 performance. That might not seem great, but after his 1-15 Season 47, it’s a pretty great turnaround. How will Beers fair in his 4th season in Miami? Well, I honestly don’t see Miami making any kind of impact. When you think of Miami, you think of all the moves they didn’t do. They signed Malik Jackson, but that was basically all they did. They have virtually the same team coming back. The same QB Malcolm Goodman who threw 23 interceptions and 20 touchdowns, the same RB Kenyan Drake who only ran for 818 yards. In a division where the winner went undefeated, you have to do more than what Miami did. They did draft LT Mario Wolfert with their first pick, which helps but not enough.
In Final: The Miami Dolphins will have another losing season. They will be battling the Bills for respect and 2nd place. I wouldn't be shocked if Miami won 3 games either. They need to put more effort into improving their team if they ever want a shot at dethroning the great Coach Betts.

Prediction: 6-10, 2nd place AFC East

New England Patriots - Coach Hovadagod_23
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (17-31) .354
Season 48 New England Patriots (2-14)
Season 47 New England Patriots (7-9)
Season 46 New England Patriots (8-8)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 123-304 (.288) | Playoff Record: (0-1)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 344-413-2 (.455)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: LT  - Quayshawn Hairston (77 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
QB - Matthew Stafford (84 overall)

The Patriots have collectively gotten worse from the first season of Madden ‘19. Of course last season didn’t help when you had one of the greatest QBs of all-time retire on you. So instead of going with Matthew Stafford, who was traded away in the off-season, they are deciding to go with 2nd year QB Shawn Stryzinksi who had a QB rating of 61.8 last season, with 33 interceptions and 15 touchdowns. Or rookie Houston Vickers who they drafted in the 2nd round out of Houston. Little bit of a head scratcher. Couple that with the Patriots lack of any off-season movement, you will have an even more difficult season. Their top addition was their first round pick, LT Quayshawn Hairston out of Rhode Island. The Patriots are struggling on all sides of the ball, without any kind of stars anywhere. Their top defender is DE Trey Flowers, but after that there’s not much to hang your hat on.
In Final: Like we mentioned above, the Patriots and coach Hova has gotten worse each and every season. After we thought he might’ve turned a corner after Season 47, he had a 2-14 season 48. I think it gets worse this season, they might go winless to be honest, but in such a poor division (besides the Jets) they might steal a win or two. Interesting note, in Season 48 Coach Hova became the 3rd coach in MOF history to reach 300 career losses.

Prediction: 2-14, 4th place AFC East

New York Jets - Coach NYRedskins35
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (29-3) .906
Season 48 New York Jets (16-0)
Season 47 New York Jets (13-3)
Season 46 DNP

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 360-162 (.690) | Playoff Record: (34-26)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 425-343 (.553)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: DT - A’Shawn Robinson (79 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
QB - Nick Foles (80 overall)

Betts had one of the greatest seasons in MOF history in Season 48 and it is overlooked because they lost in the Super Bowl. The off-season wasn’t a normal Betts off-season. They did not make any trades, didn’t really sign anyone of huge significance and didn’t really lose much either. They dangled Andrew Luck out there but had no bites. They wound up signing DT A’Shawn Robinson and QB Ryan Tannehill after the draft last night, and they drafted a very good DT in Khairi Broussard out of Alabama with their first round pick. No the Jets didn’t do much, but did they have to? They went 16-0 last season, Andrew Luck threw 29 Touchdowns to 9 interceptions, Alvin Kamara rushed for 1,269 yards, Robby Anderson had 1,185 yards receiving, Avery Williamson had 7 interceptions, and Jordan Jenkins had 11 sacks. They are easily set up for another run.
In Final: They didn’t have to do much is the slogan of the new season. These guys went undefeated, one of three true undefeated regular seasons in MOF history and they are hungrier because they lost in the Super Bowl. The sky's the limit, there is nobody in this division that will come close to beating these guys.

Prediction: 13-3, 1st place AFC East

AFC North

Baltimore Ravens - Coach Bhicks14
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (30-18) .625
Season 48 Baltimore Ravens (10-6)
Season 47 Baltimore Ravens (10-6)
Season 46 Baltimore Ravens (10-6)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 62-42 (.596) | Playoff Record (1-2)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 353-407 (.464)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: WR - Cooper Kupp (83 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
LB - Terrell Suggs (80 overall)

When you think of Coach Hicks’ Madden ‘19 run you think nothing other than consistency. 10-6 three straight seasons in a row, and two playoff berths. Even though the Ravens seasons have not ended in success Hicks has had nothing but success so far in his three seasons. He’s coming into Season 49 without LB Terrell Suggs and QB Joe Flacco who both announced their retirement. Flacco was serving as a backup, and Suggs was still playing well. The Ravens went ahead and signed Cooper Kupp and drafted CB Reggie Dawson in some really solid moves. They still will be a strong team with Lamar Jackson returning and Tevin Coleman as well. In addition to that Jarvis Landry is coming off a huge season with 1,236 yards and 8 touchdowns. Hopefully they can replace Suggs 7 sacks last season with some rotation schemes since they really did not sign a viable replacement.
In Final: The Ravens will be right there when it’s all said and done. This is arguably the best division in the MOF with all teams finishing over .500 last season. The unfortunate part is one of the big three in this division will most likely miss the playoffs. It will come down to 1 play here or there that will keep the Ravens or Steelers out, which is crazy.

Prediction: 10-6, 3rd place AFC North

Cincinnati Bengals - Coach Gouch
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (20-27-1) .427
Season 48 Baltimore Ravens (9-7)
Season 47 Baltimore Ravens (7-9)
Season 46 Baltimore Ravens (4-11-1)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 55-70-1 (.440) | Playoff Record (1-1)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 366-391-1 (.484)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: CB - Jaquiski Tartt (84 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
WR - Mike Williams (81 overall)

Gouch has improved each and every season of Madden ‘19 and that is very impressive considering the division he is in. Last season Gouch finished 9-7 and wound up losing WR Mike Williams who really did not play a significant role on the team. They did however acquire Jaquiski Tartt and drafted CB Denard Arnold giving the Bengals one of the best CB squads in the MOF. The Bengals problem though is on offense. Kirk Cousins threw 25 interceptions last season, and the Bengals leading rusher was Charcandrick West with only 478 yards on the ground. They will need to improve greatly in both areas if they even want to compete with the rest of the division. Defensively that’s where the Bengals shined last season. Geno Atkins had 10 sacks and Jordan Willis had 14 sacks of his own.
In Final: I feel like if Gouch was in any other division he’d have a great chance at the playoffs, but since he’s in the heavy loaded AFC North he really doesn’t have a shot to get out of the basement. I think he will have some bright spots, but just not enough fire power on this team to really make a difference.

Prediction: 7-9, 4th place AFC North

Cleveland Browns - Coach Pettigrew95
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (35-13) .729
Season 48 Cleveland Browns (12-4)
Season 47 Cleveland Browns (11-5)
Season 46 Cleveland Browns (12-4)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 230-120-1 (.657) | Playoff Record (21-15)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 350-413-2 (.459)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: LB - Jimmy Filipovic (76 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
CB - Terrance Mitchell (75 overall)

Pettigrew has had himself a wonderful Madden ‘19 and i think it all stems from being snubbed out of the hall of fame in August. He has proven that he is no doubt worthy of that honor this year. Not only has Pettigrew been a perennial playoff team, he has brought legitimacy back to the Browns who were one of the laughing stocks of the MOF for a very long time. Now the Browns didn’t do much in the off-season, but they didn’t really have to. Their biggest off-season acquisition was drafting LB Jimmy Filipovic out of Duke with the 25th overall pick. The Browns have a very strong team, clearly, and the only moves they made were to just bolster the depth of the team. Mayfield and Hunt are an incredible one two punch on offense, and sprinkle in the ever so troubled Josh Gordon and you have yourself one of the top offenses in the MOF.

In Final: The Browns are the favorites to win the division once again. The talent of Pettigrew plus the young talent of the Browns are a match made in Madden heaven. They haven’t had the postseason success that we have expected from Pettigrew in the past, but they are always a play or two away from being there at the end each and every season.

Prediction: 12-4, 1st place AFC North

Pittsburgh Steelers - Coach Pauly2110
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (30-18) .625
Season 48 Cleveland Browns (10-6)
Season 47 Cleveland Browns (9-7)
Season 46 Cleveland Browns (11-5)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 431-208 (.674) | Playoff Record (25-30)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 430-328-2 (.567)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: QB - Matthew Stafford (84 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
QB - Ben Roethlisberger (82 overall)

You’d have to go back to Season 26 and 27 to see the last time Coach Pauly missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons, and that’s only because he wasn’t here in Season 27. To see Pauly miss the playoffs two seasons in a row makes you scratch your head, but then you look at his record. 9-7 and 10-6, that really shouldn’t be worthy of missing the playoffs, but in this tough AFC that’s exactly what it is. Pauly has gone back to the drawing board, after the retirement of cornerstone QB Ben Roethlisberger they went out and immediately made a deal for Matthew Stafford acquiring him from the Patriots. They also lost SS Morgan Burnett but went ahead and signed FS Tashaun Gipson Sr. to make up for that loss. For every subtraction, Pauly had an equal or better addition and that’s why he’s a hall of fame coach and the MOF leader all-time in Career wins.
In Final: I think this is the season Pauly turns it around. I expect a nice season out of Stafford, i expect him to connect with AB and Smith-Schuster, i expect Bell to go back to MVP form and i really think the Steelers can challenge the Browns for the division crown and at the least a wild-card spot in the playoffs.

Prediction: 11-5, 2nd place AFC North

AFC South

Houston Texans - Coach BigDre245
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (33-15) .688
Season 48 Houston Texans (11-5)
Season 47 Houston Texans (8-8)
Season 46 Houston Texans (14-2)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 272-144 (.654) | Playoff Record: (17-16)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 409-355-1 (.535)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: SS - Morgan Burnett (78 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
CB - Aaron Colvin (82 overall)

BigDre is now 3 seasons removed from his incredible 14-2 season. He came back to form last season finishing 11-5 and winning the AFC South. Alot of experts think if the Jaguars weren’t on leave, he probably wouldn't have won the division. Either way, skeptics aside, the Texans were your champs and they had a decent showing in the playoffs before getting eliminated in the divisional round. The Texans made a mistake in the off-season trying to re-sign CB Aaron Colvin after releasing him but they grabbed SS Morgan Burnett from the Steelers to secure up that secondary. Of course they lost DE Robert Ayers to retirement, and they lost JJ Watt last season so the defensive line was in need of some help which they did not really address in the off-season. Their bright spot last season with WR DeAndre Hopkins who finished with 1,176 yards receiving and 5 touchdowns. The QB situation will need to be addressed with Watson again missing time.
In Final: Regardless of any kind of holes on the line or injuries to the QB the Texans will be right there when the smoke clears. This division is also very good, and just got better with the loss of Coach Benny from the Titans. I think we will see a 3-team race for first though, and the Texans will in that race until the very end.

Prediction: 11-5, 2nd place AFC South

Indianapolis Colts - Coach Shawtypizzle
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (33-15) .688
Season 48 Indianapolis Colts (10-6)
Season 47 Indianapolis Colts (8-7-1)
Season 46 Indianapolis Colts (7-9)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 63-63-1 (.500) | Playoff Record: (4-2)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 359-403-1 (.471)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: CB - Aaron Colvin (82 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
WR - Golden Tate III (85 overall)

The Colts have been on the cusp of getting into the playoffs the last two seasons now, and Coach Shawty has improved every single season. Finishing 10-6 and missing the playoffs just leaves a very sour taste in ones mouth, so I expect the Colts to really pour it on this season. They had a very good off-season, even though they lost WR Golden Tate they went ahead and grabbed WR Corey Coleman to take his place. They stole CB Aaron Colvin from the Texans and they drafted arguably the best defensive player in the draft in DT Cory Bilukidi. The one question mark I have is they let Eric Ebron walk and really did not replace him. Last season saw an emergence of a new HB in Kyaunn Higgins who rushed for 1,239 yards and 12 TD. Drew Lock struggled at times though throwing 35 interceptions to only 17 touchdowns. That will obviously need to improve.
In Final: The Colts are in a juggernaut division. Enzo and Dre are tough opponents and they are going to have to overcome those two teams if they want to get into the postseason. I think we’re going to see the Colts come up short once again, but they are a Houston or Jacksonville devastating injury away from grabbing this division.

Prediction: 10-6, 3rd place AFC South

Jacksonville Jaguars - Coach Enzo
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (37-11) .771
Season 48 Jacksonville Jaguars (10-6)
Season 47 Jacksonville Jaguars (13-3)
Season 46 Jacksonville Jaguars (14-2)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 128-100 (.561) | Playoff Record: (9-6)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 419-344-1 (.549)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: QB - Cam Newton (88 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
LE - Calais Campbell (85 overall)

Arguably the best Madden ‘19  team over the past three seasons has been Coach Enzo. Back to back AFC Title games in Season 46 and 47, and last season despite having to forfeit a handful of games they still got into the playoffs and into the divisional round. Enzo has been very impressive and barring any vacations, i don't see any reason he cannot do the same thing this season. Especially with the moves he’s made. They replaced QB Blake Bortles (finally) with free-agent prize mega star QB Cam Newton!! They also signed RE Chandler Jones who is replacing Calais Campbell on the defensive line. Don’t forget the drafting of Rannell Royals in the first round who will be a great weapon for Cam Newton. They did have some losses however, like we mentioned Calais Campbell, they also lost FS Tashaun Gipson and DT Malik Jackson. I wouldn't worry though, i think these guys are primed and ready for a serious run.
In Final: The Jaguars are still the team to beat in this division. It’s true they have gotten worse every season, but going from 14-2, to 13-3, to 10-6 is hardly a bad thing. I expect Enzo to return to form with a more talented team this season, and make a run at the Super Bowl.

Prediction: 13-3, 1st place AFC South

Tennessee Titans - Coach CGrossIII ®
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: N/A - Rookie
Season 48 N/A Rookie
Season 47 N/A Rookie
Season 46 N/A Rookie

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 0-0 (.000) | Playoff Record: N/A
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 344-422 (.449)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: CB - Lynn Brooks (83 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
LE - DaQuan Jones (80 overall)

The Season 48 Titans are one of three teams to have a winless season. Fortunately for the Titans franchise Coach BennyBuccets has decided to resign due to personal reasons. New Coach CGrossIII has taken over and as any rookie, we don’t know much about him. All we know is that the Titans were handcuffed in the off-season and couldn’t sign any free-agents. They wound up losing DaQuan Jones, Andy Dalton, and even their punter Dustin Colquitt. However, they made a huge splash in the draft grabbing the top overall player CB Lynn Brooks who has a 98 speed rating, what! They also were able to sign some second tier free-agents grabbing QB Blake Bortles and HB Donnel Pumphrey Jr. They also grabbed QB Teddy Bridgewater so it looks like we’ll have a QB competition in Tennessee early. Coach CGrossIII has a tough job ahead of him, the Titans roster is not good, their offense and defense are lacking a lot of skill players so we can’t expect him to do much with what he’s got.
In Final: These guys will be better, there’s no way you can be worse than what Coach Benny was doing here in Tennessee, which wasn’t much. I expect the Titans to be somewhat competitive but just not competitive enough to really make a threat at the post-season.

Prediction: 6-10, 4th place AFC South

AFC West

Denver Broncos - Coach Sawemoff90
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (19-28-1) .406

Season 48 Denver Broncos (9-7)
Season 47 Denver Broncos (6-10)
Season 46 Jacksonville Jaguars (4-11-1)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 54-78-1 (.410) | Playoff Record: (0-2)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 418-347-1 (.546)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: CB - Janoris Jenkins (80 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
MLB - Todd Jones (77 overall)

The Broncos have improved greatly last season being one of the top teams in the division up until the last few weeks of the season and it had everything to do with grabbing their QB of the future in Mitchell Trubisky last season. Also the emergence of Justice Hill who ran for 1,050 yards and 6 TDs. Couple that with the amazing season that CB Chris Harris had with 8 interceptions and 3 TDs you had yourself a winning season. The Broncos were right there when it came down to playoff time but just fell short. They went out and signed CB Janoris Jenkins to add some depth to the secondary they also signed DT Dontari Poe. The Broncos are always an active team when it comes to free-agency off-season acquisitions. The off-season also saw the departure of long time MLB Brandon Marshall and MLB Todd Jones, besides that not much changed with these guys.
In Final: The Broncos had themselves a great Season 48, but we think that was kind of a fluke. We expect the Broncos to come back down to earth a bit this season with the Chiefs and Chargers being the top two teams in this division. Of course, we could be completely wrong and the Broncos could surprise again. But we’re chalking that up to luck.

Prediction: 6-10, 3rd place AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs - Coach DoubleD187
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (28-20) .583

Season 48 Kansas City Chiefs (9-7)
Season 47 Kansas City Chiefs (13-3)
Season 46 Kansas City Chiefs (6-10)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 106-66 (.616) | Playoff Record: (8-8)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 405-341-1 (.543)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: WR - Mike Williams (81 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
WR - Chris Conley (78 overall)

The Chiefs had a very disappointing Season 48 finishing 9-7 after their great 13-3 record the season prior. So what gives? Competition has gotten heavier in the AFC especially in this division with Denver turning the corner. The Chiefs were active in free-agency grabbing WR Mike Williams and DT David Onyemata. The defensive line is where the money is made on team. Nick Bosa and Justin Houston are one of, if not, the best defensive end tandem in the MOF. Patrick Mahomes had himself a great season throwing for 3,892 yards and 38 touchdowns. The run game of the Chiefs is where the weak spot is. They traded Kareem Hunt last season and never replaced him. They are hoping the move by De’Anthony Thomas to HB will help with that this season coming up.
In Final: The Chiefs are a tricky team to figure out. Talent wise, they have a lot of great players but they just seem to fall short last season, especially with that poor running game. The defense is very good, they can put pressure on you and cause turnovers but they are just missing something. I expect De’Anthony Thomas to fail miserably at HB and the Chiefs to have another down season and maybe even a 3rd place finish.

Prediction: 7-9, 2nd place AFC West

Los Angeles Chargers - Coach MackDaddy
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (37-11) .771

Season 48 Los Angeles Chargers (14-2)
Season 47 Los Angeles Chargers (12-4)
Season 46 Los Angeles Chargers (11-5)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 131-45 (.744) | Playoff Record: (10-11)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 384-377 (.505)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: LE - Calais Campbell (85 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
QB - Philip Rivers (81 overall)

Mack continued his impressive MOF career by going 14-2 last season, upping his career winning percentage to .744 which is now the best in MOF history with at least 100 games played. The huge news in the off-season was the release of reigning AFC MVP Philip Rivers. Rivers threw for 3,282 yards with 33 TD and 10 INT and was released! The Chargers look to go full force with Jared Goff now, and they grabbed Case Keenum to back him up. The Chargers were extremely active in the off-season grabbing LE Calais Campbell to bolster an already strong defensive line. They signed SS Kam Chancellor and TE Dwayne Allen too. So if you thought there was no way the Chargers could get better, you were wrong. They come back this season even stronger and ready to get over that hurdle that is the AFC title game.
In Final: The Chargers and Coach Mack are the cream of the crop in the AFC West. They are an easy top 3 maybe even top 2 team in the MOF and i expect nothing less than a division title for these guys and a nice deep run into the AFC playoffs.

Prediction: 13-3, 1st place AFC West

Oakland Raiders - Coach Kalikarpenter
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (37-11) .771

Season 48 Oakland Raiders (3-13)
Season 47 Oakland Raiders (5-11)
Season 46 Oakland Raiders (7-9)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 98-126 (.438) | Playoff Record: (1-2)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 340-411 (.453)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: WR - Taywan Taylor (78 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
QB - Derek Carr (84 overall)

Well the Raiders finally moved on from Derek Carr trading him to the Atlanta Falcons for some draft picks. Can you blame Kali for the trade? Last season before getting benched, Carr threw only 2 TDs and 21 Interceptions, that’s terrible. The Raiders went ahead and drafted the projected best QB in the draft in D.J. Spurlock out of Tennessee and he looks to take over the starting job. The Raiders didn’t really do too much in the off-season to improve this team, they signed WR Taywan Taylor, then drafted WR Tomas Adams and like we mentioned QB D.J. Spurlock. The offense just isn’t very good. Their best receiver is rated a  78 and their top TE is a 75. Look, this isn’t the division to rebuild in. It’s a win now division. With that said, the Raiders have been collectively getting worse as the seasons go by. I think this season is going to be another struggle.
In Final: They lost Derek Carr, who still had something left in the tank but it just wasn’t here in Oakland. Spurlock has talent, but he’s on a team that doesn’t have much talent anywhere else. Derrick Henry is great, yes, but the receivers are young and the awareness just isn’t there. I expect the Raiders to have a rough season.

Prediction: 3-13, 4th place AFC West

Dallas Cowboys - Coach Texmexgalvan
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (17-31) .292

Season 48 Dallas Cowboys (1-15)
Season 47 Dallas Cowboys (11-5)
Season 46 Dallas Cowboys (5-11)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 105-248-3 (.299) | Playoff Record: (0-2)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 394-367-1 (.527)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: RE - Jaleel Duncan (84 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
QB - Sam Bradford (78 overall)

Will the real Dallas Cowboys please stand up? After going 11-5 in Season 47 they followed it up with an embarrassing 1-15 season. We’d have to look at the record book but that could be one of the worst drop offs in consecutive seasons in MOF history. So what happened? It starts and ends with Dak Prescott. He threw 51 interceptions to only 20 touchdowns. So what did the Cowboys do to answer that huge question mark? They cut Sam Bradford. Don’t get me wrong, the Cowboys had some bright spots last season, despite going 1-15. Zeke finished with 1,304 yards and A.J. Brown was one of the top WRs in the league with 1,484 yards receiving. I think competition got the best of the Cowboys last season, and a lack of effort really set them back. I expect a bounce back season, but i mean 2 wins is a bounce back season.
In Final: Look for the Cowboys to really start out hot, but then to cool off considerably. They have the talent to win 10 games easily, but Coach Tex isn’t putting the effort in that he should. It happens to the best of us, but all it will take is a little bit of patience, like Axl Rose said, and these guys could swing it back around into the playoffs.

New York Giants - Commissioner Jeff
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (34-14) .708

Season 48 New York Giants (11-5)
Season 47 New York Giants (11-5)
Season 46 New York Giants (12-4)

Coaches Overall MOF Record: 401-304 (.569) | Playoff Record: (17-19)
Team’s Overall MOF Record: 388-372-2 (.510)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: MLB - Roqoan Smith (91 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
WR - Odell Beckham Jr. (99 overall)

This has been the best 3 season stretch for the Commissioner in a very long time, maybe even ever. Three straight division titles, and last season his QB threw more TDs than INTs for the first time like ever. The Giants made some huge moves in the off-season, trading away star WR Odell Beckham Jr. to the Chicago Bears for MLB Roqoan Smith and WR Allen Robinson. They also received a pick that brought in rookie CB Darian Murphy who looks to replace the departed Janoris Jenkins. They wound up cutting DE JJ Watt but then re-signing him for a cheaper deal, which was a huge move because the Giants front 7 can now be considered one of the best in the MOF. Saquon Barkley won the MVP last season with 2,131 yards rushing, 640 yards receiving and 27 total touchdowns. There’s no doubt who the offense goes through. Sam will have his pick of WR’s to throw to as the Giants also drafted Marquise Langley out of Florida to be the slot guy.
In Final: I think Commish grabbing
Roqoan Smith was a huge move, he now has a speedy MLB to cover the field with. The loss of Beckham hurts but the fact that he was injured at least 5 or 6 games every season was frustrating. I think the Giants will have an even better season with a more well rounded team.

Biggest Off-Season Addition: ROLB - Reuben Foster (90 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
LT - Lane Johnson (87 overall)

Alex will get his 200th MOF career regular season win this season, and that’s an impressive accomplishment. Last season was a step back for the Eagles who competed for a wild-card spot in Season 47. They had some tough games down the stretch including blowing a 37-14 lead in the 4th to the Giants in Week 17 that really kept them out of the playoffs. They went ahead and traded for LB Reuben Foster in the off-season, also they traded away LT Lane Johnson. They replaced Lane with David Trattou who was drafted 31st overall out of Wake Forest. The Eagles also were able to re-sign Corey Clement after thinking they might lose him to free-agency. So the Eagles didn’t really improve, but they didn’t really get worse either. Kind of stayed right in the middle.
In Final: Jay Ajayi is the key to make this team a playoff contender or a middle of the road .500 team. Ajayi had 1,148 yards last season but on only 193 carries. He will really need to step up and keep the pressure off QB Josh Rosen if the Eagles want to compete. Alex has to focus on his strong points on offense, and he will be a tough team to beat. However, i still do not think it will be enough to get into the playoffs.

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 461-305 (.602)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: DT - Tevin Stevenson (75 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
LT - Trent Williams (85 overall)

The Redskins are still have the greatest winning percentage in MOF history for now, but Coach Cheese0824 is trying his hardest to change that. Coach Cheese came into the league in Season 47 and finished 2-14 with the Redskins, nothing changed and he finished 2-14 again last season. He did try to improve last season by grabbing Josh Allen to play QB but he wound up throwing 42 interceptions and just 13 touchdowns. The run game was also a very weak part of the Skins offense with Chris Thompson leading the way with 590 yards rushing. Paul Richardson and Cameron Meredith are a nice tandem at WR and hopefully they can break out this season and help Cheese win some games. They lost LT Trent Williams in a shocking move and did not replace him. They only improved in the draft and when that happens that spells disaster.
In Final: The team was already not very good and they lost their stud left tackle. We know Coach Cheese had a problem with his PSN account so that’s why he was absent in free-agency and that will come back to haunt him terribly. Any chance of competing was thrown out the window there.

Prediction: 1-15, 4th place NFC East

Biggest Off-Season Addition: WR - Odell Beckham Jr. (99 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
MLB - Roqoan Smith (91 overall)

All the talk has been surrounding the acquisition of WR Odell Beckham Jr. from the Giants. The Bears improved greatly as their top receiver last season was Tyler Kroft who caught 51 balls for only 571 yards. As long as they can keep OBJ healthy, they made a fantastic move. They also traded away WR Allen Robinson and LB Roqoan Smith in the deal, which had some fans very upset. Those fans turned those frowns upside down though when the Bears drafted QB Hansen Trusnik who fell to them at #30 overall. It looks like Trusnik will be taking over for Devin Seymour who threw 40 interceptions last season and only 8 touchdowns, yikes. The run game of the Bears was also very bad, the top rusher was David Montgomery who had 314 yards on only 59 carries. The Bears must be more balanced this season if they want to win more than 2 games. The defense is led by SS Adrian Amos who had 4 interceptions last season.
In Final: Coach Remo has had a tough time winning in the MOF, but that just shows the integrity of this man. He loves the MOF and loves the competition. He is a patient guy, and that will only help down the road. I don’t think this is the season Remo turns it around, but the addition of OBJ will help him score more points and possibly earn some upsets.

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 371-396 (.484)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: SS - Richard Sherman (87 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
SS - Tavon Wilson Sr. (78 overall)

Coach Roclo won his 200th career MOF regular season game in Season 48, we congratulate that with the fullest respect! Madden ‘19 hasn’t been very kind to Coach Roclo, who is usually one to be at or above .500 pretty much every single season. I blame it on lack of talent, but who really knows. The Lions were very active in the off-season, as Roc always is. They went and signed SS Richard Sherman to a 1 year deal, signed TE Eric Ebron, and SS Jordan Poyer. The offense of the Lions is stacked. Mariota had himself a comeback season, he threw 35 interceptions but he threw 37 touchdowns. They have some of the fastest WRs in the league with Brandin Cooks, Kenny Golladay and Lawrence Cager. Jordan Howard also had a nice season with 975 yards rushing (5.1 YPC). I think the fate of the season comes down to the Lions defense and how they can stop the two teams in this division.
In Final: The Lions have what it takes to get to the postseason. It’s going to come down to a couple games here and there, but Mariota cannot turn the ball over as much as he did last season. 35 interceptions is just too much, especially when you have teams like the Packers and ever improving Vikings in your division. If the Lions are a +10 or more in turnovers, they will be a playoff team, but i don’t see that happening.

Biggest Off-Season Addition: WR - Golden Tate III (83 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
HB - Ty Montgomery (82 overall)

Just when you thought the Packers and Dolan were buried and finished last season, they went on a tear and wound up winning their 3rd straight NFC North title. You can still say he had a Super Bowl hangover after winning it all Season 47. Dolan is still only 1 of 2 coaches to defeat the mighty Cardinals and Coach Garza. The Packers lost WR Emmanuel Sanders in the off-season but they replaced him with someone better, Golden Tate III welcome to Green Bay. They also drafted one of the top WRs in the draft in Henry Beckett out of Southern Illinois. I don’t have to tell you how good Aaron Rodgers is, as he finished with another incredible season, 4,132 yards and 40 touchdowns with a 110.3 rating. Markus Blair took over the HB position for Dolan and they were so happy with him that they cut Ty Montgomery in the off-season. Dolan didn’t lose much, he pretty much has his same team coming back to try and get back to the promised land.
In Final: The Packers and Dolan are your favorites as long as Aaron Rodgers is at the helm. Dolan and Rodgers are a match made in heaven as he absolutely dominates with the QB. I don't expect any kind of slow start for Dolan this season, and I expect him to be right in the mix when the NFC Champion is determined.

Biggest Off-Season Addition: WR - Julio Jones (93 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
HB - D’Onta Foreman (77 overall)

Coach Krayzie arguably has the most improved team coming into Season 49. Not only did they sign the top free-agent in Julio Jones, they also signed reigning AFC MVP Philip Rivers. Lord knows they needed that after Eric Dungey’s 56.0 QB rating performance of Season 48. He threw 37 interceptions to just 21 touchdowns. Despite that poor performance, the Vikings still made the playoffs for the 2nd time in 3 seasons. Coach Krayzie is starting to become a superior coach in this league and with the additions of Rivers and Julio, they will just get better. These receivers are crazy good. Adam Thielan, Stefon Diggs, and now Julio? Who are you going to cover? They also got a very good season out of rookie Carroll Allen who rushed for 985 yards and 11 touchdowns.
In Final: The Vikings could be one of the surprises of the season. They improved greatly and they were already a playoff team. I think we will see some greatness out of Krayzie this season, and he will push Dolan for the division. I still think he will fall short of the division, but i expect Krayzie to be in the playoffs once again.

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 389-375-2 (.509)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: QB - Derek Carr (84 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
WR - Julio Jones (93 overall)

Last season was a strange one for Coach Reg and the Falcons. It started with the disappearance of Matt Ryan which really put a damper on this team early. Reg was able to rebound however, and found a serviceable QB in Norman Fowler who did just enough to get the Falcons the division title once again. The load was carried by Devonta Freeman (1,283 yards rushing) and the emergence of WR Calvin Ridley (1,439 yards receiving). They were so impressed with Ridley’s season that they thought Julio Jones was expendable, and that’s exactly what happened. Julio was released and he went to the Vikings. The Falcons improved in the off-season at QB in a very big way. Derek Carr was acquired from the Raiders for a 1st round pick and he will have an immediate impact now that the Matt Ryan sudden retirement is taken care of. The Falcons also quietly signed Breshard Perriman who was released by the Ravens.
In Final: The Falcons are the top team in the division, but I expect them to have stiff competition from the Saints and Buccaneers this time. It won’t be easy for Reg this time, but I still think he is the favorite to win the division. Especially since he won it last season with a garbage QB and now he has Derek Carr.

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 332-431-3 (.435)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: QB - Roy Steltz (78 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
QB - Cam Newton (88 overall)

Coach Dpanther has had his struggles this season finishing 3-13 last season, and 13-34-1 overall in Madden ‘19. That does not stop him from competing week in and week out though and we always respect those coaches who don’t have much success and still show up and hang their head high. With the huge news about Cam Newton not being resigned we saw a lot of fans give up on management. “How could you let Newton walk?” Well they did not think he lived up to his contract after last season’s debacle. 8 touchdowns, 19 interceptions and then Nick Fitzgerald took over for him. So Coach Dpanther let him go, and drafted the top QB in the draft in Roy Steltz out of LSU as he hopes to lead the Panthers to a better record this season. The Panthers also lost DT Dontari Poe which hurts that defensive line. They went ahead and signed DT Akeem Spence to take his spot.
In Final: The Panthers are in a very tough division couple that with a rookie QB and that just spells disaster. I expect the Panthers to compete here and there but i really don't think they will win many games with Steltz at QB over Cam. We are all rooting for Dpanther to finally make the postseason, but we don’t think it will be this season

Biggest Off-Season Addition: TE - Trey Burton (84 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
WR - Cooper Kupp (83 overall)

Coach Q turned Season 48 around after a very poor start with his new rookie QB Gordon D’Imperio. They showed a lot of signs of improvement down the stretch that really makes you think the Saints and Q can return to the success they had in Season 47. David Johnson returns to run that rock even though Q dangled him out there in the trade market. They also made a move for TE Trey Burton who immediately improves the TE position for them. They did lose Cooper Kupp in the off-season and they replaced him with Keke Coutee. The draft wasn’t that eventful for the Saints with their first pick coming in the 2nd round as they grabbed RE Isaic Blake out of Uconn. The Saints have a very solid team, it all depends on how D’Imperio plays and how short of a leash coach Q has on him. He has the weapons to be successful.

In Final: The Saints have a very favorable schedule and i think they will jump out to a very good start before the real challenges come to fruition. I expect that fast start will be enough to turn this team around and Q’s fortunes will change as i think they will make the playoffs as a wild-card. If they can beat the Falcons, they have a shot at the division.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Coach Jfon
Coaches Madden ‘19 Record: (23-25) .479

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 356-394-1 (.475)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: LT - Trent Williams (85 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
C - Ryan Jensen (79 overall)

The Bucs had two tough losses in the offseason that will affect their offensive line. RT Demar Dotson retired and C Ryan Jensen was not resigned. Problem solved when they signed LT Trent Williams. They also cut DT Gerald McCoy, long time Buccaneer. Then they traded for DE Everson Griffen and DT Linval Joseph, and signed LE DaQuan Jones, problem solved. The Bucs did a great job in the off-season meeting the needs of the team and the losses they endured. The draft was also very good for Jfon as they grabbed SS Julian Narcisse who will start immediately. Winston had a better performance in Season 48 with 27 TD and 33 INT. The bright spot though was HB Ronald Jones II who rushed for 1,400 yards and 11 TD. The Buccaneers are on their way up, as they improved and have some very good players.
In Final: No they didn’t replace the center they lost, but that offensive line is strong and it will be enough to win games. These guys will go as far as Jameis Winston takes them. If he’s turning the ball over like crazy, they will be under .500 again. If Jfon can control that ball, run the rock and play solid defense with those new players they could win the division or make the wild-card, sky's the limit and it all depends on that QB.

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 330-433-1 (.433)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: ROLB - Josh LaBoy (81 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
RE - Chandler Jones (88 overall)

The once laughing stock of the MOF, the Arizona Cardinals, have become the kings of the league. The Cardinals and Coach Garza won the Super Bowl last season over the Jets 20-17 and this is the Cardinals 2nd title in Madden ‘19 as they won back in Season 46 as well. Coach Garza has been absolutely terrific since coming to the MOF in Season 47. He’s only lost 2 games (32-2 overall), which is absolutely incredible given how competitive this league is. Garza opted to improve his team mostly in the draft, where he grabbed Josh LaBoy with the 11th overall pick and he looks to make an impact right away. They traded TE Trey Burton and lost DE Chandler Jones but it really doesn’t matter when you have linebackers with the speed of defensive backs and you can user like you have hand of God. Throw in J.J. Nelson, who really isn’t that great of a rated WR, but has the speed to burn anyone on the field.  The Cardinals barring any type of physical injury to Garza’s fingers or hands, will be the favorites coming into the season.
In Final: Garza is the best user we’ve seen since the name we shall not speak and he might even be better. He can cover everything with the speed that he possess. He might go undefeated again, but playing the first place teams like the Packers, might have something to say about it. I really look forward to their matchup against Enzo’s Jaguars. Oh.. anyway yeah these guys will win the division by about 23 games.

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 361-406 (.471)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: LT - Lane Johnson (87 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
HB - LeSean McCoy (83 overall)

The Rams had a decent Season 48 and lost out on tie-breakers to earn that wild-card spot to the Vikings. Powers lightened the load of Todd Gurley II last season only carrying the ball 276 times but still gaining 1,599 yards and scoring 14 times. The passing attack was shaken up when they traded Jared Goff mid-season to the Chargers, and decided to go with Shea Patterson. Powers had a better feel with Patterson, but still threw 27 interceptions to only 14 touchdowns. The Rams lost Randall Cobb in the off-season but they don’t think it should hurt much as they expect Robert Woods and Harvey Carthon to pick up the slack. The Rams had a nice draft, grabbing DT D.J. McFoy with their first pick which improves an already dominant defensive line. The two rookie sensation linebackers from last season will be back Gilbert Fudge and Aaryn Whitner to cause some havoc to the rest of the league. However, i do not think the Rams did enough to protect Gurley and i really don’t think Patterson is the answer at QB.

In Final: Going to be a tough season for Powers who has a brutal schedule coming up. I would be surprised if they won more than 5 or 6 games. Although i’ve been wrong before, Gurley will have to have a work horse load again if they want to really beat those better teams in the MOF. Which might result in an injury, which is why losing LeSean McCoy was bigger than everyone thinks.

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 393-373 (.513)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: RG - Derek Ricks (83 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
MLB - Reuben Foster (90 overall)

The 49ers had arguably the best draft in the league grabbing RG Derek Ricks, LB Damarr Stecker and TE Colin Wedige and the 49ers are now in full force rebuild mode. All three of those draft picks will have an immediate impact on this team, as they look to work a dual TE offense along with Kittle who is one of the best TEs in the league. The 49ers struggled once again last season, although they had a better performance, 6-10 is still not very good. Jimmy G again had a tough season throwing 47 interceptions to just 15 touchdowns, and that running game struggled mightily with Damien Harris leading the team with only 516 yards. The 49ers are going to have another tough season as they really only improved their team in the draft, and did not sign any significant big free-agents. They have to hope Jet McKinnon stays healthy and can provide the team with a solid running attack.
In Final: The 49ers will be in last place. The question is how many games will they actually win? They might be able to sneak into 3rd because of the Rams tough schedule, which also is true for the 49ers. I do not expect much from these guys this season, put that on your bulletin board, but I don’t see anything more than 2 or 3 wins.

Team’s Overall MOF Record: 403-358-3 (.529)
Biggest Off-Season Addition: CB - Derek Bishop (75 overall)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction:
SS - Kam Chancellor (80 overall)

The Seahawks had some hits to their secondary as CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie retired, and then they lost SS Kam Chancellor. They did draft CB Derek Bishop in the first round out of Baylor and they are looking for Kaczur to shine at SS now that Chancellor is gone. The Seahawks did not do much in the off-season at all, but did they have to? Could they have improved at HB? No, leading rushing Giovani Bernard hit 1,233 yards with a 5.7 average. How about receiver? Possibly. Doug Baldwin led the team with 759 yards receiving. The Seahakws are a solid team, they just keep getting beat down by their division rival Cardinals every time they play them. Coach Minden has had a nice Madden ‘19 and overall a very good early career here in the MOF.
In Final: The Seahawks are pretty much returning with the same team give or take a player here and there, but i think their schedule has gotten tougher this season and they are going to fall short of the playoffs. Minden is tough competition but he has to get over that hurdle that is Garza before he can be considered a real threat.
