Spanish club members to bring field trip money and forms to Mrs. Perez by Friday.

There will be a Spanish club meeting on Thursday during lunch in room 202.

There are still spots available for the College Tour trip. The deadline to register is this Thursday March 21. See Ms. Brittany or Ms.Todd to register.

Beta Members, this week you are celebrating National Beta Week. Please check the club haiku page for opportunities to earn volunteer hours!

Current leaders in the Beta Club penny war are Mrs. Perez’s class in 3rd place with 2 points, Mrs. Lyon’s class in 2nd with 30 points, and the current 1st place class is Mrs. Blackburn’s 3rd block with 62 points! We will continue announce scores through the week and we will announce the winner of the pizza party next monday!

Tuesday, March 19th there will be the first Avery Youth Health Coalition Meeting during lunch in room 105.  This coalition will be led by Avery High School students and will focus on improving the health of Avery County. Please talk to Dawn Hicks if you are interested in attending or need more information.

The Rolling Academy Summer Expedition application deadline is April, 1st. If you are interested in applying for this opportunity applications can be found on the whiteboard outside the MA room. 12 students who apply will be selected and go on an week long adventure in an undisclosed location for FREE!

Back to the 80’s Practice is Double Practice today for the full cast from 3:40 to 5:30 or 7 to 8:30 students should plan to make one or the other today.

Congratulations to Cassie Bailey who won 2nd Place at the Army National Junior Humanities Symposium  in the scientific paper presentation for her and Matthew Knowles project on a self activating warning system for a school shooter

In the Poster Contest Nathaniel Hardy was 4th, Ellie Kitchin was 5th and Emma Kitchin was 7th, others that got exemplary projects were Brook Cheuvront, Caulyn Gross, AY Ayers, Ben Griffith and Joe Jordan
