  • Co-created & implemented this course at the district & school levels in order to prepare participants for the Google Educator Level 1 & 2 Certification Exams.  Course featured challenge scenarios that utilized Google Apps Script to provide immediate feedback, as well as components related to the North Carolina Digital Learning Competencies and North Carolina Google Educator group (Google+).

Canvas Expert

  • Implemented district created course & exam to challenge participants to learn the advanced features of the Canvas Learning Management System.  Course featured challenge scenarios that utilized Google Apps Script to provide immediate feedback, as well as components.

The Diane Kester Innovator Award - East Carolina University

April 2018

The Diane Kester Innovator award recognizes students’ innovative practices within the school library media coordinator and/or technology facilitator preparation programs as evidenced by a combination of grade point average, creative approaches towards the completion of class projects, commitment to service to the profession through active service professional organizations (e.g., NCLA, NCAECT), contribution to their local community in the area of education, media, and technology, and a commitment to the ideals of collaboration through support of peers and colleagues. The Department of Library Science and Instructional Technology faculty select a recipient from either the school library media professional pathway (MLS program) or the MAEd in Instructional Technology and has at least thirty hours toward his/her respective degree. Potential recipients must be nominated by at least one department faculty member. The Department of Library Science and Instructional Technology faculty will review the nominees’ portfolios and other supporting evidence to determine the final selection.
