Library Report

To Town Council

 1. Services to the Public: Knit Wit is cancelled for the month of October.  Paper crafts on Saturdays. Materials are provided. The book discussion group will discuss their last book for this year, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon October 23, 2025. Books in Search of Kids is next scheduled to be at the Lonepine Bazaar. Contact the library director if you would like to drop by the library to pick up books from Books in Search of Kids.  

2. Collections: The book sale will be ongoing due to a donation of shelves from a patron. We will begin weeding the collection the end of October and beginning of November.

3.  Technology: We have the color printer back up and running. Still working out some bugs and glitches but for the most part the computer center is functioning correctly.

4. General Administrative Business: The town clerk included The library’s Annual Report for Fund Year 2024-2025 in the council packets. The Preston Hot Springs Town/County Library prepares an annual report, according to the Library Bylaws Article VI Section 1, which is a report of library conditions and operations to the Hot Springs Town Council and the Sanders County Commissioners.  

The library board will meet at the library Wednesday October 15, 2025 at 5pm for their monthly meeting.
