On Wednesday, May 1st we will be taking SENIORS to OCC for Registration Day. This will allow Seniors to go through the registration and orientation process. The buses will leave HSE at 7:30am and return to HSE at approx. 1:15pm. See you counselor for more information. 

Students who are interested in attending VOCATIONAL SCHOOL next year should speak to their guidance counselor about visiting a vocational school program to gain first hand knowledge about the program. Student visitation week is March 12th - March 15th.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!!!  Anyone who has PERFECT ATTENDANCE for the month of FEBRUARY will be put in a drawing for a great prize! 

DID YOU KNOW… Chronic absence is the single strongest predictor of dropping out of school before graduation.  Students who dropout of school are much more likely to be poor, unemployed, have substance abuse problems, be teen parents, and be involved with the law.

EASTSIDE THEATRE COMPANY proudly presents OKLAHOMA! The high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys living in Western Indian Territory at the turn of the twentieth century, provide the colorful setting for Curly, the confident cowboy, and Laurey, the beautiful, head-strong farm girl, to play out their love story.  Tickets go on sale during all lunch periods starting March 4 through March 15.  Come out and enjoy the show!!!!

TOY DRIVE for OCEANS OF LOVE!  Students from Mrs. Fazzini’s period 3 class have put together a TOY DRIVE for kids suffering with CANCER.  Drop off toys to N23!  All donations are due by March 11.  **TOYS MUST BE NEW DUE TO THEIR WEAK IMMUNE SYSTEMS.  Please see Mrs. Fazzini in N23 with any questions.

 CLUB NEWS

THE HISPANIC HERITAGE CLUB, together with the SPANISH CLUB, invite you to Charlie’s Pizza this Thursday, February 28th from 5 – 9pm. Come and enjoy a delicious pizza while you help us to offset the cost for our end of the year trip.

Are you interested in joining the Military and want to know more about your options?  The MILITARY SUPPORT CLUB will have two alumni guest speakers who are actively serving, to answer any of your questions. This meeting is TODAY during eighth period in the Main Office Conference Room. Sign-up sheets for this meeting will be located in the Main Office.

For all those coming out for GIRL’S GOLF, there will be NO meeting this Friday, March 1.  We will have a meeting on Monday, March 4th after school in E5B. You will not need your golf clubs.

Attention all girls trying out for GIRLS SOFTBALL this year!  Report to S02 on Friday, March 1st. You will NOT need any equipment. If you have NOT handed in your Medical Packet, please hand it in ASAP!  See Coach Foran or Coach Coppinger with any questions.

DYNAMIC DUO DAY IS COMING in recognition of February’s character pillar, Caring.  Dynamic Duo day has rescheduled to Friday, March 1st.  We are encouraging the faculty, staff and students to show their RAIDER SPIRIT by dressing as their favorite duo, trio, or group to show the importance of being committed to building positive, healthy relationships with others.  “Connections are the new Currency”, the more we surround ourselves with positive and supportive individuals, the richer we are.

Need a little help with your college entrance essays? Having difficulty with that research paper? Or would you just like another set of eyes to proof-read your assignments?  The WRITING CENTER provides tutors to help with all types of writing assignments.  The WRITING CENTER will be open every Tuesday and Thursday after school in W-20.  Ask your English teacher for further details. – Schindler

NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY meets every Tuesday after school in N04.

ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB will meet every Monday after school in E11. Come one, Come all!

The BIBLE CLUB meets on Wednesdays after school in Room W21. Snacks are provided. Come join us!

The ROBOTICS TEAM will be meeting every TUESDAY and THURSDAY in Room N3A after school.  Come join us anytime.

The COMPUTER CLUB will be meeting every MONDAY in Room S21 after school.  Come join anytime!!!

ATTENTION TEACHERS!

The COFFEE CORNER IS OPEN!!!  Our doors open at 7:15 in Room E16.  Keurig coffee is available at all times, and fresh brewed coffee is available by 7:30.  $1.00 for coffee or tea, and 50 cents for any snacks (doughnut, muffin, etc.)  Our students work the coffee shop periods 3 & 6 and will greet you at the door and check you out at the register, but we are open ALL DAY so any time the door is open just COME ON IN and help yourself! Please leave money on register or in tip jar when students not working.  Stay tuned for upcoming lunch specials.
