The results of the survey, “Outdoor Summer Services” is as follows: 42 – Yes, 26 – No’s and 6 – were comfortable with either one.
Parish Life has an event coming up – Faith Night at the Iron Pigs on Friday, June 5th at 6:45 PM. Sign up on the bulletin board if interested.
Sunday, June 7th will be the annual Outdoor Picnic and Service (of Communion) and Prayer held in the pavilion, weather permitting at 10:30 AM. A sign-up sheet for volunteering to bring items as well as covered dishes and desserts is posted on the bulletin board.
Vacation Bible School will be held this year the week of July 20th. This year’s theme will be “Rainforest Falls”. If you would like to volunteer as a teacher, assistant, decorator, kitchen help, etc., please see or contact Sherri Meyers at smeyers@northampton.edu
ATTENTION High School Graduates and College Students: students who are graduating from High School and plan on attending college or a technical school can apply for a small Educational Grant from Hope Lutheran Church. Returning college students may reapply for the grant as well. Please see Diane in the church office for a copy of the guidelines and application. Applications are due by July 5th.
We are looking for volunteers to start up and work in the Garden of Hope once again. All food produced will be donated. Please leave your name and phone number on the bulletin board if interested in helping with the garden. For more information, see Pastor or Tracy Gonzalez.
The next Highway Clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 AM with a rain date of Saturday, June 13th. Look for a sign-up sheet in the coming days.

Interested in helping as an Usher / Greeter for Sunday services?? There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board and a short “job” description. We need at least two people each Sunday to hand out bulletins, hold open the outside door for people, take the offering, and help on the days of communion.

Bulletin sponsorship is still only $20.00. Flower sponsorship is $25.00. Use the envelopes included with your offering envelopes.
A “Congregational Challenge” – The Evangelism Committee has come up with a challenge for every church member – ask a non-member friend, family member, or a neighbor to come to church with you. Each member who brings a (non-member) visitor, will be eligible to a quarterly drawing in our “Each One – Reach One”. Place your name and the visitor’s name in the glass bowl located on the table in the Narthex. Prizes will be gift certificates for Giant Food Store. Each One – Reach One slips are located by the fishbowl. For more information, see Brenda Knowles.
We have an arrangement with Giant Food Stores to purchase Giant Gift cards at 95% face value. That means that the congregation earns 5% of the face value of the card. Hope has no investment in this program other than earning the 5%. If you shop at Giant Food Stores for food or gas anyway, what a great way to give to the church! We have cards valued at $100, $50, $25, $20, and $10 increments. See Stan or Sue Smith at any service to purchase your cards.
