2025 Fall Season “Majors” Rules
Fall operations of the league shall be governed by the preceding Spring season bylaws and operating manual. The parents and players need to be aware that their child may play in a higher division (if they are the appropriate age) in the Fall with no guarantees that they will play in that same division in the upcoming Spring season.
OBJECTIVE:
To create an environment that enhances each player’s skill level, and to prepare him or her for the next level.
ALL GAMES PLAYED ACCORDING TO LITTLE LEAGUE RULES WITH THE FOLLOWING CHANGES:
- Away team will keep the official scorebook/pitch counts and operate the scoreboard.
- No game can be started or continued with less than (9) players. If necessary to borrow a player from the other team, that player can only play outfield and will not bat for the other team.
- Players may not play the same position more than (2) innings per game. Every player will play at least (1) inning in the outfield. Catchers are limited to two (2) innings per game.
- No player shall sit 2 innings before all players have sat 1 inning.
- IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO ROTATE PLAYERS AROUND THE ENTIRE FIELD THROUGHOUT THE GAME
- Continuous batting order will be used.
- Pitchers can only pitch up to 2 innings (6 consecutive outs) or up to 40 pitches per game. The pitcher may finish the current batter upon reaching the 40 pitch limit.
- Five runs allowed max/per inning.
- If a team is up by 15 runs after 3 innings or 10 runs after 4 innings, the Run Rule is enforced, the scoreboard should be reset to 0-0 and the game will continue without runs displayed on the scoreboard until six innings are played or the time limit expires.
- A courtesy (pinch) runner can be used to substitute for the catcher on base only when there are (2) outs. The courtesy runner must be the last recorded out.
- Walk up music can be used but must be at a respectful sound and must stop once the batter gets in the batters box. No derogatory or profane music shall be allowed. If used, the team will not be allowed to have walk up music.
UMPIRES:
- The league will do its best to provide umpires however each home team shall be responsible for providing an umpire if one is not provided for you.
- Coaches may not protest any games or judgment calls made by the umpire or league representative.
START OF GAME:
- The visiting team may have the entire field for a 10 minute period, starting 30 minutes prior to scheduled game time. Home team may have the next 10 minutes.
- Games on Field 1 will not start until 3 volunteers from the home team have the concession stand up and running.
END OF GAME:
- Scorebooks and scoreboard are to be returned to concession stand by the away team.
- Teams are required to clean their dugouts and stands prior to leaving the complex.
GAME TIME:
- School night games will have no new inning start after 2 hours and 15 minutes from commencement of the game. The Home plate umpire keeps the official time. An inning ends at the moment the third out is made in the bottom half of an inning. Non-school night games will not have a time limit.
- Rainout games may be rescheduled if and when possible only by the Vice President.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- NEGATIVE COMMENTS DIRECTED AT OPPOSING TEAMS AND/OR UMPIRES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
- If/when the lightning detector is activated, all players and coaches shall immediately go to their vehicles.
- NO on deck batters. The lead off batter may come out to warm up by their dugout before the inning starts.
