Gopuff - formerly Dija | Duty Manager, Software Engineer | 2020 - 2023
At GoPuff I spearheaded our team's efforts to provide prompt delivery services, while identifying and addressing operational inefficiencies. I developed a tool using Google’s AppSheet that enabled warehouse teams to quickly locate where to stow inbound products based on sales velocity, optimizing the pick route. Additionally, I streamlined our operations by creating interfaces for teams to clock equipment in and out, track breakages, repairs and more.
With GoPuff's recent acquisition of Dija I played a key role in ensuring the successful integration of Dija into the GoPuff ecosystems. I leveraged data to inform real-time decision-making, helped our team to exceed performance goals, improving order accuracy, reducing delivery times, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. Driving the company's rapid expansion.
By developing innovative solutions that delivered value across the business, I made a tangible impact during my tenure at GoPuff. My people management and operations background, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail contributed significantly.

As the flagship and center of excellence for Wilko, the store was a key priority for the business and received special attention. My role as assistant manager was critical to the store's success, daily duties included scheduling, workload management, productivity oversight, and enforcing health and safety policies. I motivated my team and conducted interviews, performance reviews, and addressed any issues to maintain high standards and performance.

At McColls, a newsagent offering products and services including newspaper deliveries, snacks and lottery, my focus was on customer retention and expanding the newspaper delivery client base in a challenging market environment.
Through a combination of excellent customer service, targeted marketing efforts and building strong relationships with both clients and team members, I was able to achieve significant growth in newspaper delivery subscriptions and establish a strong presence in the local community.
