Rector’s Comments

As we enter into the 2020 Epiphany Season, God is presenting St. MIchael the Archangel with new challenges and opportunities.  Our challenge is to continue bringing more sheep unto our Lord for Him to bless and guide to His Kingdom, and the opportunity has been given to us to purchase additional land.  I have been notified by the owners of the property on the far side of the rectory (6.1 acres) that they intend to sell this property which extends down to the next street St. Peter’s Lane.  I have invited the owners to attend our Vestry Meeting this coming Sunday (January 12th) to discuss this property and their future plans.  I have spoken to Bishop Grundorf and Bishop Chad to advise them and ask for their thoughts.  This is an opportunity for the future of St. MIchael’s.  I have thoughts, but the vestry and I need to hear yours.  We have never been a wealthy congregation, and yet our people have always found a way to build for our future.  Pray that God guides us into the future and may He continue to Bless St. Michael the Archangel.  Also, Debbie and I are humbled by your love and support during the holidays.
