NIRSA Early Career Advisory Group

Description

The Early Career Advisory Group is comprised of members who are early in their professional careers.  The group supports the development of education, networking and resources for early career campus professionals in campus recreation and wellbeing. The group will also serve to advise NIRSA to continue to bring value to this segment of membership in a way that drives growth in membership and participation.  

Charges

  1. Deliver engagement opportunities for early career professionals including:  
  1. Lead development of virtual education and networking opportunities, including proposing topics and presenters for webinars and Ideas in Motion roundtables.  
  1. Host at least three Ideas in Motion roundtables before April 30, 2024.  
  1. Lead early career networking events at Annual Conference in the NZone.  
  1. Promote NIRSA resources to early career professionals through NIRSA News, Early Career Connect Community, and other communication channels.  
  2. Promote best practices and thought leadership from early career professionals to the broader NIRSA audience through NIRSA News, other communication channels (e.g. Social Media) and at NIRSA education and networking events (local, regional, North America, and virtual) as feasible.  
  3. Serve in an advisory role to the NIRSA Board and NIRSA Staff regarding proposed products for early career programs and services to help inform decision-making processes.
  1. Meet with NIRSA Staff and select NIRSA Board Members every other month to support this charge.
