Jennifer Hall has been an educator for more than twenty-four years and currently serves as one of Atlanta Public Schools' Educational Technology Specialists. As a member of the district's Instructional Technology Department, Jen collaborates with teachers to effectively integrate technology in standards-based lessons, works with students to foster college and career readiness skills, provides targeted school-based training, as well as facilitates relevant district-wide professional development. Jen's passion is sharing instructional technology tools and strategies to foster student engagement.
Jen is a creator, speaker, National Board Certified Educator, ISTE Certified Educator, Google Certified Educator, Innovator, and Trainer as well as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and Master Trainer.
Jen has presented at international, national, state, and regional conferences including ISTE, ECET2 Atlanta, GaETC, NCTIES, FETC, MACUL, SC Midlands Summit, Peach State EdTechTeam Summit, Georgia STEAM Forum, UpState, NDATL, DENATL, Discovery Education VirtCon, Day of Discovery and the Discovery Educator Network Summer Institute. In 2020, Jen was the featured presenter for a six-part Tech Tips Tuesdays webinar series hosted by GPB (Georgia Public Broadcasting).
The 2019 winner of the RJ Stangherlin Award from the Discovery Educator Community as well as a 2018 DENny Award for Expertise, Jen has served on the Discovery Educator Network Leadership Council for six years.
Jen created her Tech Tips 411 website to share apps, tools, resources, ideas, and more for teachers. She also shares on her Tech Tips 411 YouTube channel quick tips, tutorials, lesson highlights, student projects, and live-streamed professional development. Jen is passionate about all things #edtech and loves working with teachers to enhance instruction and engage diverse learners.
