All students must complete a demonstration of College and Career Readiness

Students must demonstrate one of the following in each:

English, plus writing demonstration

Math

Concurrent Enrollment: Successful completion of CMC courses

Concurrent enrollment is 1) the prerequisite to a credit-bearing course or 2) a credit-bearing course.

  • SAT Scores:
  • 430 - English
  • 460 – Math
  • ACT Scores:
  • 18 - English
  • 19 - Math
  • ACT WorkKeys Certificate: Bronze Level
  • Workplace Documents
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Graphic Literacy

(A score of 5 on any one test receives 1 credit toward that content area.  If score is below a 5 all three tests must be taken to earn any credit. Once a Certificate is earned a student may receive .33 credit towards each of the three content areas.)

  • CMC Accuplacer:
  • English - 241 Reading or 236 Writing
  • Math – 255 Arithmetic or 230 Quantitative Reasoning

Writing Demonstration:

If one of the above options cannot be met, student must complete a district capstone project for both English and Math.  Evidence of the projects must be included in the E-portfolio.

In the event college and career demonstration is not appropriate for your personalized learning plan, the student and his/her advising team will develop a Capstone Project or Graduation by Portfolio. Please find those details through your advisor.
