Will I pay the free Fellow after hiring one? ❌ No, you are not required to pay the free Fellow.
Who will pay the second (free) Fellow? 💰 Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) will cover the salary of the free Fellow.
Can I choose which Fellow to hire and which will be funded by NJFP? ✔ Yes, but final approvals will be subject to NJFP’s guidelines.
What happens if the hired Fellow resigns before completing one year? ⏳ The free Fellow’s placement automatically ends once the hired Fellow leaves the organization.
Can I extend the free Fellow’s employment after one year? ✔ Yes, but after the program period, you will be responsible for their salary.
Are there any reporting or evaluation requirements? 📝 Yes, participating organizations will be required to submit periodic reports on Fellows' performance and impact.
Can the Fellows work remotely or do they need to be onsite? 🏢 This depends on your company’s work policy, but clear expectations must be set at the start of the program.
Hire a Fellow - Terms & Conditions
Equal Treatment – Both Fellows must be treated as employees and provided with the same workplace benefits, training, and opportunities.
Legal Compliance – Organizations must adhere to all labor laws and regulations applicable to their industry and location.
Program Duration – Both Fellows must remain with the organization for one year.
Employment Linkage – The free Fellow’s employment ends immediately if the hired Fellow leaves the organization.
Scalability – Organizations are allowed to hire multiple Fellows based on their business needs. For each hired Fellow, an additional free Fellow may be assigned (subject to availability). The same conditions apply to all pairs of Fellows.
Performance & Evaluation – Organizations must provide structured mentorship, supervision, and performance reviews for both Fellows.
Job Placement Commitment – Employers are encouraged to offer full-time employment opportunities to high-performing Fellows after the one-year period.
Confidentiality & Ethics – Fellows must adhere to company policies, including data protection, confidentiality agreements, and ethical work practices.
Training & Development – Employers should provide training opportunities to help Fellows develop skills relevant to their roles.
Termination & Dispute Resolution – Any early termination or disputes between the Fellows and the organization should be handled in compliance with labor laws and Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) guidelines.
