The Children's Festival Society of Kelowna has been presenting the Fat Cat Children's Festival since 1990. The Society programs events for Okanagan's school age students through a range of artistic performances (dance, theatre, circus, literary, cultural) and exciting workshops. The Fat Cat Children's Festival showcases local professional artists, cultural groups, businesses and community organizations. The Fat Cat's mission is to inspire inquisitive minds through the exploration of artistic, innovative and culturally diverse experiences.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The Children's Festival Society of Kelowna (CFSK) is thrilled to announce it's first ever Virtual Children's Festival. This online event consists of live streamed performances and on-demand content, thoughtfully curated for our Okanagan friends! Even though we can't gather in person right now,  it is so important to stay connected to our community and enjoy all it has to offer, so let's Celebrate All Things Local!

With everything going on with COVID-19 our youth have especially been impacted by this pandemic so we want to do something special just for them. Since we cannot meet in person as we usually would, we are offering interactive and engaging programming online that connects local youth with their community and provides a much-needed source of enjoyment.

Enjoy LIVE content from local artists, business owners, educators, and cultural groups that will not only expand your knowledge but also connections within our amazing Okanagan community! Even though we can't gather in person right now,  it is so important to stay connected to our local community so this year's theme has been adapted to focus on just that: the people who make up our local Okanagan community, our beautiful environment, and the local businesses and industries that drive our economy, People, Planet, Profit.
