2023-2024 Scholarships
Hello! Here is where you will find scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year. I only post scholarships that I receive paperwork on or am made aware of. There are thousands of scholarships available though, so please don’t only rely on this document.
Also, if you know where you are planning to attend college, many institutions have their own scholarships and some of them have fall deadlines. I suggest you go to their website and locate their scholarship pages for information on their specific scholarships. Many of the scholarship sites for Iowa schools are listed at the bottom of this document.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will also be an important component of applying for college. They are currently making changes to the FAFSA, so it is tentatively set to open in December. The address is www.fafsa.gov.
Most of the local scholarships will not be ready until at least January or later - sometimes as late as March, April or even May.
In the meantime, you can also search for scholarships online or through available apps. A few of the recommended websites include: www.myscholly.com, www.fastweb.com, www.studentscholarships.org and https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/scholarship-search. These are just a few of the MANY available websites. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I’m here to help through this process!!!
Here is a link to some additional Iowa scholarships. Some of these are already listed in this Google doc: https://scholarsapp.com/scholarships/in/iowa.

For more information come see me or visit www.iowacollegeaid.gov/LastDollar.
At the bottom of the document you can also find some resources for specific colleges and universities.
