(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2021 (AMENDMENT No.23) ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-
The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce or amend waiting restrictions DYL (Double Yellow Lines) means no waiting at any time on the following length of roads in Thanet:-
Roads in Birchington in the District of Thanet
ALPHA ROAD – DYL – on both sides of the junction with Ingle close in an easterly direction for 10 metres and in a westerly direction for 10 metres
INGLE CLOSE – DYL – On both sides of the junction with Alpha Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 10 metres
Roads in Broadstairs in the District of Thanet
NORTHDOWN HILL – DYL – Extension of existing double yellow lines on the eastern side of the road in a northerly direction for a distance 30 metres at the junction with Westover Road and on the western side of the road in a northerly direction for a distance of 20 metres at the junction with Westover Road .
Roads in Margate in the District of Thanet
TRINITY SQUARE – DYL – Extension of double yellow lines from outside number 40 for a distance of 12 metres in an easterly direction to connect with existing double yellow lines outside number 42
WHERRY CLOSE – DYL – On the junction outside numbers 1 to 9 in a Northwesterly direction for a distance of 10 metres and a southwesterly direction for a distance of 10 metres and on the junction outside numbers 67 to 75 in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 10 metres and in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
Roads in Ramsgate in the District of Thanet
STATION APPROACH ROAD – DYL – Outside 81 & 83 on the northern side of the road in an easterly direction for a distance of 4 metres
The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce or amend time limited and resident parking zone bays on the following length of roads in Thanet:-
Roads in Broadstairs in the District of Thanet
WROTHAM ROAD - On the north side remove time limited and shared residents parking bay from the entrance to Jubilee Court to outside 41 Wrotham Road and replace with time limited and shared residents parking bay on the north side from the entrance to Jubilee court to the boundary of 21 Wrotham road and from the boundary of 23 to the boundary of 41 Wrotham Road.
The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce or remove Disabled Persons Parking Bays on the following length of roads in Thanet:-
Roads in Margate in the District of Thanet
RICHMOND AVENUE - New bay across the frontage of 29 Richmond Avenue
Roads in Ramsgate in the District of Thanet
HERBERT ROAD - New bay across the frontage of 6 Herbert Road
A full statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a plan indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the made Order may be examined Monday to Friday at The Gateway Plus, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1RE (by appointment) or viewed online from 4th December 2024 at www.thanet.gov.uk
