General School Information

Course Requests

• Students who are currently enrolled at KPHS will complete course requests beginning in February.
• Students who are new to KPHS will complete the registration form on our website beginning in February.
• While courses are requested, students are not officially enrolled in school until they complete the registration process in Skyward. This is done at the end of July.

Registration

• All students enrolled at Kings Peak will need to complete the registration process online. 
• Students will be enrolled at Kings Peak High School if they are taking 4 or more courses.
• Students enrolled at Kings Peak will no longer be enrolled but will still be able to take up to 4 courses in person at their boundary school.
• The registration will be completed online through Skyward Family Access.

2. If you have trouble logging in to Skyward, contact our office at 801-567-8020 for assistance.
3. In Skyward, select your Kings Peak High School Student and follow the link to "Register for (NY school year)."
4. Verify and correct information regarding your student(s). You will need to complete each item.

Fees

• $10 proctoring fee - required for all students taking courses at Kings Peak High School
• Yearbook purchase -- $50 (optional)
• Cap and Gown - $47.00

Fee Waivers

• Fee waiver application forms must be filled out and submitted in-person in the main office each year
• Fee waiver application forms are available online (​​Fee Waiver Application (Grades 7-12)) or in the school main office
• State required documentation must be provided annually with the completed application to the main office.

Fines

• Outstanding fines will carry over from previous years.
• Payments for fines will be made in Skyward Fee Management.

Chromebook Check Out

• Students who are enrolled at Kings Peak High School will receive a school issued Chromebook at student orientation.
• Students will complete a Chromebook User Agreement form as part of their registration.
• Students are responsible for checking the chromebook for any damage.  Chromebooks returned broken or damaged are the responsibility of the student/parent.  
• Chromebooks are required to be returned at the end of each school year.

Picture Days

• Pictures for Student IDs and Yearbook will be taken during the August student orientation.
• Students will need to present Student IDs when working on campus, attending events at their boundary schools, and taking final exams in their courses.

In-Person Student Orientation

• Because KPHS is a different type of school, we want to ensure our students get off to the right start. To help with this, we will hold an in-person orientation meeting where we will discuss what students need to know and do to be successful.
• All students enrolled at KPHS are required to attend one of the in-person orientation sessions. Students will need to sign up for a time slot using the link on the home page.

Live Session Schedule

• In each course, teachers will hold 2 live sessions each week.
• Students are expected to attend all live sessions.
• Each session will last 30 minutes.
• Live sessions will be held according to a predetermined schedule.
• The schedule and instructions for accessing live sessions will be published in each course.

Schedules and Schedule Changes

• Our Counselors will work with students individually to make sure they have the courses they need whether those courses are with us or through the boundary school.

Yearbooks

• School yearbooks will be available to purchase.
• More information will be provided through the school website and social media as it becomes available.

School Activities

• Although we are a virtual school, we will still have school activities for students to attend in person. We will have more information on our website and social media as those details become available.

Social Media

• We will use our social media to push out information and share the good things that are happening at KPHS.
