Community Guidelines

Restyle is an online synthetic media application where users may create and express themselves using stylized, synthetic media. We want to foster a community where creativity and expression thrive.

At the foundation, this application must be based on respect, safety and support. These Community Guidelines reflect our values and specify the code of conduct we expect to see in all content on Restyle and followed by all members of the Restyle community.

The goal is to clearly outline what is allowed and what is not permitted. At the same time, it is difficult to anticipate all potential situations that might arise. Restyle reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to say what content violates the spirit of these guidelines and will not be permitted.

We also count on your proactive, responsible use of Restyle as specified further in the guidelines and encourage our community to report content that contradicts these guidelines via our app or by email hi@restyleapp.net.

Sexually explicit content

Don’t upload, restyle, or share any pornographic, vulgar, or offensive content.

Don’t upload, restyle, or share any non-consensual sexual imagery.

Nudity in images is not allowed.

Minor safety

Users of the Restyle app must meet our minimum age requirement(s) (check our Terms of Use).

Don’t upload, restyle, or share sexual content involving any person under the age of 18, including you.

Any content that depicts physical or psychological abuse involving minors is strictly prohibited.

You may not use the images of minors. If you are a minor, you may use your own picture if you meet our minimum age requirement.

Harassment & Bullying

Bullying or harassment of any kind is not allowed.

If someone blocks you, don’t try to contact them from another account.

Don’t upload, restyle, or share content with the intention of bullying, harassing or threatening someone.

Don’t upload, restyle, or share content depicting people in private places (for instance, a bathroom or locker room) without their knowledge and consent.

Be respectful of others — ask for permission before using someone else’s personally identifiable information to create content and delete content you created with the Restyle app if someone asks you to.

Don’t collect or store any personally identifiable information from the Restyle app from other users without their explicit written permission.

Violence & Hate speech

Don’t upload, restyle, or share any content that is physically or psychologically violent or threatening or promotes violence or actions that are threatening to any person, entity or animal.

Don’t upload, restyle or share any content that promotes self-harm such as suicide, self-mutilation, or body shaming.

You may not discriminate or directly attack other users on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, body size or shape, disability, or veteran status.

Don’t upload, restyle or share any content that promotes discrimination, bigotry, racism, hatred, harassment or harm against any individual or group.

Don't upload, restyle or share any content that denies well-documented violent events such as the Holocaust.

Fake or misleading information.

Don’t upload, restyle, or share any political content that impersonates or is intended to impersonate other people in a speculative or misleading way.

Do not upload, restyle or share any content that can manipulate or interfere in elections or other civic processes.

Don’t post, restyle, publish, submit or transmit any content that is fraudulent, false, misleading or deceptive outside of an entertainment context.

Don’t impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Illegal content

Don’t violate any applicable law or regulation.

Don’t use Restyle to promote or execute any kind of illegal activities such as trafficking drugs, selling counterfeit goods or illegal weapons, etc.

Don’t upload, restyle, or share content that violates, or encourages any conduct that would violate, any applicable law or regulation or would give rise to civil liability.

Terrorism

Content that promotes violent extremism, terrorism or any recognized terrorist organizations is prohibited.

Intellectual property

Don’t upload, restyle, or share content that infringes, misappropriates or violates a third party’s patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, moral rights or other intellectual property rights, or rights of publicity or privacy.

Platform integrity

Don’t attempt to distort, modify, remove or otherwise alter any digital watermarks, labels or authenticity markers on Restyle content, either visual or metadata.

Don’t attempt to evade or circumvent any mechanism, instrument, tool or moderation policy Restyle has implemented to protect the rights of users, third-parties or content holders, ensure compliance with these guidelines or comply with legal or regulatory standards; do not share or distribute knowledge of such means or methods.

Don’t use, display, mirror or frame Restyle or any individual element, Restyle’s name, any Restyle’s trademark, logo or other proprietary information, or the layout and design of any page or form contained on a page, without Restyle’s express written consent.

Don’t access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of Restyle’s services, Restyle’s computer systems, or the technical delivery systems of Restyle’s providers.

Don’t attempt to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any Restyle system or network or breach any security or authentication measures.

Don’t avoid, bypass, remove, deactivate, impair, descramble or otherwise circumvent any technological measure implemented by Restyle or any of Restyle’s providers or any other third-party (including another user).

Don’t attempt to access or search the Restyle app or download content from Restyle using any engine, software, tool, agent, device or mechanism (including spiders, robots, crawlers, data mining tools or the like) other than the software and/or search agents provided by Restyle or other generally available third-party web browsers.

Don’t send any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, email, junk mail, spam, chain letters or other form of solicitation.

Don’t use any meta tags or other hidden text or metadata utilizing a Restyle trademark, logo URL or product name without Restyle’s express written consent.

Don’t forge any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any email or newsgroup posting, or in any way use Restyle to send altered, deceptive or false source-identifying information.

Don’t interfere with, or attempt to interfere with, the access of any user, host or network, including, without limitation, sending a virus, overloading, flooding, spamming, or mail-bombing Restyle.

We welcome feedback on these Community Guidelines. We also encourage anyone to report violations of our Terms of Use and these guidelines within the app or by emailing us at hi@restyleapp.net.

Enforcement

These Community Guidelines apply to all members and all content available via the Restyle community.

Depending on the severity of violation, we may limit the visibility and availability of certain content or remove it entirely from the platform. If appropriate, we may notify law enforcement.

Violations of our Terms of Use and these Community Guidelines may also result in a range of warnings, sanctions and/or actions taken by Restyle against your content and/or account, including temporary or permanent account suspensions, additional labeling of sensitive content, and bans of individuals or organizations from the community.
