1. Open Google Chrome and enter swayam.gov.in/NPTEL in the address bar.

2. On the SWAYAM–NPTEL homepage, click Sign-in/Register.

3. Select Sign in with Google.

4. In the Email or phone box, enter your email ID and click Next.

Please note that throughout the course run, that is for enrolment, assignment submission and registration, you would have to use the same email ID to ensure all your assignment marks are taken into consideration when arriving at your final exam score.

5. In the Enter your password field, provide your password and click Next.

6. The Swayam-NPTEL courses page is displayed.

7. Browse or search for the course you wish to enroll in.

8. Click the course title to open the Course Page and click the JOIN button.

9. Click Join. The My Profile page will appear—fill in all required details.

10. Personal Details Section:

• If you have an APAAR/ABC ID, select Yes and enter the correct ID.
• When the APAAR ID is entered, the system will verify your Name, Date of Birth, and Gender against the APAAR database.
• If there is a mismatch, an alert will appear advising you to correct your details to enable credit transfer.
• Note: Enrolment will not be blocked. This is only a prompt to ensure accurate information.

11. Education Details Section: (Instructions For Local Chapter (LC) Colleges Only)

• Set Part of a SWAYAM Local Chapter? to Yes.
• Select the correct Local Chapter State.
• In College Name, type your LC ID and choose the appropriate college from the list.

12. Tick the required checkboxes at the end of the page and click Join Course.
13. The Course Outline page will be displayed, and you will receive a confirmation email.
