Recruiting​ ​Process​ ​for​ ​Volunteer positions

Request​ ​to​ ​Hire:

A​ ​request​ ​to​ ​hire​ ​is​ ​initiated​ ​by​ ​Human​ ​Resources​ ​with​ ​Marcin’s​ ​approval.
LinkedIn​ ​can​ ​be​ ​used​ ​a​ ​wide​ ​source​ ​for​ ​reaching​ ​out​ ​to​ ​prospective​ ​candidates​ ​we​ ​need​ ​to​ ​headhunt​ ​by identifying​ ​the​ ​positions​ ​that​ ​are​ ​open​ ​and​ ​also​ ​post​ ​jobs​ ​on​ ​the​ ​site.

Job​ ​description​ ​​ ​&​ ​Job​ ​posting:
The​ ​job​ ​description​ ​for​ ​the​ ​positions​ ​approved​ ​to​ ​be​ ​hired​ ​are​ ​created​ ​and​ ​reviewed​ ​by​ ​human​ ​resources​ ​to ensure​ ​that​ ​the​ ​position​ ​is​ ​properly​ ​classified​ ​based​ ​on​ ​the​ ​requirement.
All​ ​positions​ ​can​ ​be​ ​posted​ ​on​ ​VounteerMatch.org​ ​(VM)​ ​and​ ​LinkedIn.​ ​​ ​The​ ​postings​ ​are​ ​posted​ ​for​ ​2​ ​weeks or​ ​continuous​ ​until​ ​filled.​ ​These​ ​postings​ ​may​ ​be​ ​renewed​ ​as​ ​needed.


Volunteermatch​ ​Alerts:
Human​ ​Resources​ ​receives​ ​notifications​ ​when​ ​a​ ​candidate​ ​applies​ ​for​ ​a​ ​posted​ ​position.​ ​​ ​The​ ​alert​ ​comes​ ​to our​ ​email​ ​id.

Resume​ ​Screening:
After​ ​you​ ​receive​ ​the​ ​alert,​ ​send​ ​along​ ​the​ ​link​ ​of​ ​application​ ​form​ ​to​ ​the​ ​candidate​ ​which​ ​can​ ​be​ ​accessed by​ ​clicking​ ​on​ ​a​ ​link​ ​(​ ​we​ ​must​ ​create​ ​a​ ​form​ ​online​ ​,​ ​we​ ​can​ ​check​ ​if​ ​our​ ​applicant​ ​tracking​ ​system​ ​has​ ​some option​ ​for​ ​this​ ​form​ ​)
​ ​Human​ ​Resources​ ​(​ ​Designated​ ​HR​ ​personnel)​ ​reviews​ ​the​ ​application​ ​form​ ​and​ ​resume​ ​for​ ​minimum qualifications​ ​and​ ​reviews​ ​it.
If​ ​resumes​ ​are​ ​not​ ​attached,​ ​Human​ ​Resources​ ​requests​ ​the​ ​candidate​ ​to​ ​the​ ​send​ ​the​ ​resume​ ​​ ​following​ ​up​ ​with​ ​a​ ​reminder​ ​within​ ​2​ ​days​ ​of​ ​not​ ​receiving​ ​a​ ​response.

On​ ​Boarding​ ​Process:
After​ ​the​ ​interview​ ​notes​ ​are​ ​reviewed​ ​and​ ​approved,​ ​the​ ​candidate​ ​is​ ​informed​ ​of​ ​the​ ​approval​ ​and​ ​a​ ​start date​ ​is​ ​determined​ ​when​ ​the​ ​candidate​ ​can​ ​onboard​ ​virtually.
OSE​ ​must​ ​use​ ​an​ ​integration​ ​program​ ​to​ ​help​ ​new​ ​volunteers​ ​onboard​ ​and​ ​integrate​ ​into​ ​the​ ​organization and​ ​their​ ​roles​ ​effectively.​ ​The​ ​program​ ​aims​ ​at​ ​providing​ ​support​ ​to​ ​these​ ​volunteers​ ​through​ ​three elements:​

 ​The​ ​Volunteer​ ​Handbook,​ ​Department​ ​specific​ ​onboarding​ ​session/s,​ ​and​ ​the​ ​Buddy​ ​System.

Below​ ​are​ ​the​ ​activities​ ​of​ ​an​ ​on​ ​boarding​ ​process:
1)Create​ ​the​ ​OSE​ ​ID  
2)Send​ ​a​ ​welcome​ ​mail​ ​to​ ​the​ ​new​ ​hire​ ​with​ ​the​ ​required​ ​document​ ​attachments.
