What “team effort” has brought you great joy?

Read Psalm 133

Can you think of a moment where you have been inspired seeing people work together toward a common goal?

What do you think the Psalmist means when he says that unity is like ‘precious oil’ and like ‘dew falling on Mount Zion’?

Read Nehemiah 2:11-20

What do you think Nehemiah did on his first three days in Jerusalem?  Why was that important?

Why do you think Nehemiah said nothing about what he was planning to until he had inspected the walls?  Why inspect the walls at night?

What three points does Nehemiah make to rally the troops to build?  Which one do you find most convincing?

Read Ch 3:1-12. Why are the names recorded? Should Nehemiah take the credit for building the wall?  Why did Jerusalem wait for Nehemiah before they built the wall?

Psalm 127:1-2 tells us:

Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.  Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.  In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat - for he grants sleep to those he loves.

Who is building your ‘house’? (Your work, life, ministry and relationships)

How can you let the LORD build your ‘house’?

How can you help others in what God is building in your community?
