This is a current list of scholarship opportunities that have been provided to the counseling office for 2024-2025.  This list will be updated often, so please continue to check this page.  Scholarships are listed in the order that they are RECEIVED and NOT by when they are due.  If you have any questions, please see your counselor.

KEDC Scholarship

We are excited to once again extend an opportunity for graduating seniors of our member districts to apply for our annual scholarship. We will award at least one $2,500 scholarship for college (2 or 4 year), technical or vocational bound students that meet the criteria set forth in the attached guidelines.

 

The deadline to apply is April 1, 2025 and the recipient will be notified by April 30, 2025. An application, rubric and criteria can be found on our website: www.kedc.org (Menu, then KEDC Scholarship). Essays will be scored by KEDC Instructional Support personnel. A KEDC representative will be available, upon request, to present the scholarship during graduation award nights or banquets.

Zachary Warren Prall Memorial Scholarship

To honor the life of a former Tates Creek High graduate, the family of Zachary Prall will be awarding a scholarship of $1000 to a current senior pursuing a career that supports mental health in our community.  To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

2025 KYTC Scholarship Opportunities

We offer scholarship opportunities to students who are interested in pursuing Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology & Construction Management.

Applications may now be submitted for the upcoming 2025-2026 year.  Students who are chosen for the Civil Engineering or Construction Management program can receive up to $59,200* (before taxes) and those chosen for Civil Engineering Technology can receive up to $14,800* (before taxes).  We also provide summer employment & full-time employment after graduation.  (*depending on the # of years in school)

Students must attend UK, UL, or WKU for Civil Engineering  /  NKU, EKU, WKU, Morehead State, & Murray State for Construction Management / BSCTC for Civil Engineering Technology

 Areas of interest include:

Right of Way & Utilities  /  Environmental Analysis  /  Planning

Highway & Structural Design  /  Geotech  /  Construction

Materials  /  Maintenance  /  Traffic Operations

2025 Independence Bank Scholarship Program

At Independence Bank, we believe that the most important investment is the one we make in our communities. Last year, Independence Bank awarded over $150,000 in scholarships to high school seniors across the state.    

Our scholarship recipients can be found advancing agriculture business, devoting their talents to the healthcare industry, starting their own small business and everything in between.

Scholarship Requirements

Applicants are judged based on a submitted essay, high school grades, ACT scores, financial need, extracurricular activities, community involvement and personal interviews.

Kappa Lambda Zeta Graduate Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Scholarships

Specifically tailored for high school seniors!

Our organization is committed to supporting and empowering the next generation of leaders, and we believe in recognizing the academic achievements and potential of outstanding high school seniors.  These scholarships aim to provide financial assistance to students who exemplify the values upheld by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence, community service, and leadership.

Bertie J. Harris Scholarship

Kappa Lambda Zeta Scholarship

Must be a graduating senior with at least a 3.0 cumulative unweighted GPA from a Fayette County Public High School (official transcript required) .

Must be an African-American female planning to attend a four-year college or university.

Must be a graduating senior with at least a 3.0 cumulative unweighted GPA in Fayette County (official transcript required).


Must plan to enroll in a
post-secondary education program.

Bluegrass Realtors Scholarship

Bluegrass REALTORS® is proud to announce the second year for the scholarship program for students throughout the Central and Southern Kentucky region. The program will award up to 10 scholarships at $2,000 each to high school seniors for the 2025 school year. The Association is offering this to all students throughout the 38-county jurisdiction (to see a list of counties, click here).

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is February 15.  Please note: scholarships are limited to a total of 10 and the deadline will not be extended.

The committee will make selections in March with notifications to the schools/guidance counselors by April 15. The hope is that a representative from Bluegrass REALTORS® would be able to announce the scholarship winners at an awards or graduation ceremony, when possible. If not, the Association is requesting a photo/video of the presentation.


Edward E. & Beverley H. McDonald Scholarship

Description: The Edward E. & Beverley H. McDonald Scholarship Fund was established by Mrs. Beverley H. McDonald of Nicholasville, KY, to provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors from Bryan Station High School, Lafayette High School, or Tates Creek High School in Lexington, KY, or any high school located in Jessamine County, KY.

Eligibility: Graduating senior from Bryan Station High School, Lafayette High School, or Tates Creek High School in Lexington, KY; or any high school located in Jessamine County, KY; Enrolled to attend a recognized college, university, or junior college; Cumulative 2.0 GPA; Employment experience for the two most recent years of high school; Demonstrate financial need.

Kentucky Federation of Republican Women

The Kentucky Federation of Republican Women grants a $1,500.00 scholarship to a college-bound high school senior girl who has been politically active within the Republican Party. The qualified applicant will graduate from a Kentucky high school in 2025, is or will be a registered Republican, and plans to enroll at an accredited college or university in Kentucky.
