John Bush
Johnny grew up in Northern California’s Mendocino County and excelled under the tutelage of Bob Ayers’s Mendocino High School Music program and Philo Hayward’s Community school Music/Audio Recording Program. Bob Ayers and Philo Hayward would surely be proud of Johnny who is now an established and beloved local musician who excels on many instruments
including the drums, guitar, bass and saxophone. He has toured internationally and stateside with the ‘Jenny Kerr Band’, ‘Hansen and Raitt’, (opening for Bonnie Raitt), and is a founding member, along with Morgan Daniel, of the renowned local band ‘Foxglove’ and local favorite, ‘The Mighty T-Bones’.
Johnny has played on stage and recorded with many famous performers and together with Lily Parsons on bass, they form the rhythm section that lay down the unique and exciting groove
of ‘New Nashville West’. And…Gene Parsons says, “Johnny Bush is not only a great musician, but he is probably the best vocalist in our band.”
