Introductory Email Template
Before launching your first flight, it is highly recommended that you send out an introductory email to your team. We recommend sending this email at least two days before the first flight is launched to ensure that everyone knows to expect the upcoming flight invitation and has enough background and context. We want to ensure that everyone is able to ask questions and become familiar with Balloon.

Hi everyone,
I am seeking your ideas, feedback, and insights through a communication medium called Balloon. Balloon enables teams to share, collaborate, and vote on input anonymously. In doing so, the streamlined workflow eliminates costly biases, increases thought diversity, and amplifies our strongest insights.
This flight is designed to uncover [DESIRED INSIGHTS]. By delving into this, we seek to identify [GOAL].

Collaboration Mode Reminder Email
Hello all,
As we work through the discussion prompts in Stage 1 of our Balloon flight, I want to highlight Balloon’s Collaboration Mode feature that allows you to view everyone’s responses and create a dialogue around them.
In Collaboration Mode, you can add comments, ask questions, build upon other people’s balloons, and provide feedback. To enter Collaboration Mode, select the “Show other responses” toggle on the upper right of the flight. You’ll know you’ve entered Collaboration Mode when the toggle shifts to red and you are able to see other people’s balloons. You can switch between these modes as often as you’d like.
Please go into Collaboration Mode after you submit your balloons to start collaborating and creating deeper dialogues. One of the benefits of Balloon is that we can connect asynchronously and have multiple lines of conversation happening at one time. You can collaborate until [TIME]. Stage 1 Reminder Email
Here’s an email template that you can customize and send to participants as a nudge to help drive additional ideas and feedback with limited time remaining in stage 1.

Hi everyone,
Reminder that Stage 1 of our Balloon flight, [FLIGHT NAME], will end on [DATE/TIME]. You can enter the flight at [FLIGHT SHORTLINK].
Make sure to submit any additional responses and feedback so everyone has a chance to read and respond to them. I also encourage you to return to the flight a few more times before Stage 1 concludes to see what new ideas our teammates have submitted and enter Collaboration Mode to build on each others' ideas (just select the “Show other responses” toggle on the upper right).
This is your last chance to contribute to the conversation before we move into voting. Once Stage 1 ends, we'll immediately enter Stage 2, where you'll vote on all of our ideas, insights, and feedback.

Stage 2 Reminder Email
Here’s an email template that you can customize and send to participants once the flight enters stage 2 as a quick nudge ensures participants have a chance to participate in voting for their top balloons.

Great work in the [FLIGHT NAME] Flight so far - thanks for all of your thoughtful responses! Quick reminder that our Balloon flight has entered Stage 2. During this time, we will be voting on all of the responses and feedback that our team surfaced. Make sure to give all similar balloons the same number of pumps, unless there are nuances in one that you support over the other.
Stage 2 will be open through [DATE/TIME]. Please make sure to go in and vote - your feedback is essential.
