Membership News - November 2022

Dear Members:

Our Friday, November 11, 2022 membership meeting features Riverside resident and professional photographer Lee Paine, who will speak about bringing attitude and emotion when photographing flowers. You will come away with new perspectives and appreciation for viewing and snapping photos of horticulture. There will be time to take your own pictures and to benefit from Lee’s feedback. Don’t miss out; feel free to bring your camera or cell phone. For a preview of Lee’s work, see www.leepainefinephotography.com

Be sure to check the Members’ page on our club website gardenclubofoldgreenwich.org/members to access all the programs and schedules for the year under the header “Meeting Schedules”. Visit the website calendar to keep up to date on scheduled club activities, such as the upcoming Holiday Garden Therapy days.  If you have important club dates to share, please let Kara Donahue, Corresponding Secretary know.

Best,

Martina

Our Bulb Sale

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard on the bulb sale. It was wonderful to see so many of our members working together and having fun! The response was incredible: we were supported by our old friends and many new people who responded to our signs - we have a lot of fans out there!  We don't have the final numbers yet, but we can confidently say that it was a huge success for our club, our membership, and our community.

Awards Received

The club received 12 awards given at the Annual Awards Luncheon. These awards are a testament to all the efforts and generosity of the club members giving back to the community as well as to our dedication to creating an exceptional flower show. The awards and their descriptions will be available on the website.
