All questions for U12 Girls and U14 Girls should be addressed to Maria Alexandrowicz first before contacting the WCUSC Office. For all other questions contact folszewski@wcusc.org

Q3:  What dates do the Winter Recreational Indoor League Teams play their games?

Q5:  Could some Winter Indoor Recreational Soccer Age Groups be combined together?

A:  Yes.  In the Winter, we combine the U6 Boys and U6 Girls and play co-ed soccer.  All other Winter Recreational Age Groups are single-gender. The U8 year old Age Group is composed of U7’s and U8’s, the U10 Age Group is composed of U9’s and U10’s, the U12 Age Group is composed of U11’s and U12’s and the U14 Age Group is composed of U13’s and U14’s.  Inevitably some age groups are combined.

Q6:  Are scores kept for Winter Indoor Recreational Soccer Ages U6-U9?

A:  No.  The emphasis of these age groups is development and fun.  Scores are irrelevant.

Q7:  Are the Winter Recreational Indoor League Teams fairly evenly matched for their games?

A:  Generally yes.  Our Age Group Commissioners use coach rankings of EACH PLAYER from previous years and go out of their way to ensure that each team is made up of virtually the same composition of players (rankings).  This does not ensure equal scores or victories each season.  Absenteeism, Injuries, Illness, Coaching decisions and many other factors influence the outcome of every game.

Q8:  Are scores kept for Winter Indoor Recreational Soccer Ages U10-U14?

A:  Yes.  While the primary emphasis of these age groups is still development, scores are kept on the website.

Q9:  Is Playing Time guaranteed in Winter Indoor Recreational Soccer?

A:   Yes.  Playing time should be equal during the Winter Indoor League IF players are demonstrating high levels of: sportsmanship, worth ethic, and are attending all team games/events.  If your daughter/son is not getting relative requisite playing time, please contact your Coach and discuss the matter in a professional manner after you have given the situation at least 24 hours of consideration. If after meeting with your respective coach and you have given the situation ample time to correct itself, you still feel that the situation has not improved please reach out to your respective Age Group Commissioner, again, after a 24 hour ‘cooling off’ period.  Your next level of resolution would be to reach out to League Director, Frank Olszewski, to determine if a fair and equitable accord can be reached.

As a general rule, if United Sports is open, the WCUSC League (Saturday Rec League) is also open.  That said, just because United Sports is open does not necessarily mean that WCUSC’s 2019 Winter League will play.  If there is NO NOTIFICATION, assume the games are on. Cancellation notification will be made to all 2019 Winter Recreational (Saturday)  teams through the www.wcusc.org website, e-mail blast, WCUSC Twitter and WCUSC Facebook pages.

U12 Girls and U14 Girls (Winter II – Friday Nights) - Communications to teams participating in United Sports Leagues (Winter II – WCUSC U12G and WCUSC U14G) will be communicated to through United Sports – website https://unitedsports.net/ and Facebook.  United Sports will also attempt to send a message through all main team e-mail contacts if applicable.  You may also call United Sports at 610-466-7100.  Maria Alexandrowicz may be reached at  Malexandrowicz@unitedsports.net.

Q35:  I am interested in getting involved with WCUSC. How do I get involved?

A:  WCUSC is always looking for volunteers to help the current staff run our highly successful recreation program. There are a many different ways someone can get involved with this program. Whether it be an Age Group Commissioner (AGC), volunteering as a coach, or in some other way! There are soccer clubs all over the country that fold every year due to lack of volunteer help. Volunteers are essential in providing a quality soccer experience for our young (and not so young!) soccer players.

There are 2 links, below, which will give you more information on the 2 most popular ways to volunteer with our recreation program. We also require volunteers to help with our End-of-Season Tournaments and our RecPlus tournament in a variety of positions.
