Miss Miller, the ceramics CTE pathway teacher, will be leaving Linon High School soon, which is going to affect the ceramics program.
“Miss Miller will be teaching over at Twelve Bridges Middle School,” said Principal Jennifer Hladun.
Hladun gave us information on what might happen to next year's ceramics program.
“My hope is that we can still teach ceramics and Mr. Nesci will still be here next year, and he could teach the intro to ceramics classes” said Hladun
The people who will be most affected by the ceramics program will be the students who want to take the more advanced classes.
“We'll make sure that the students who were signed up for ceramics have the chance to take something that they value” said Jennifer Hladun
Principal Hladun is optimistic that the ceramics program will come back.
“My hope is that we can bring our ceramics program back, but we have to have a couple things happen” said Hladun
Ms. Miller has only been here a short time but is a part of the herd.
“We want to be sure that Miss Miller knows that she's loved, and it's not personal and has nothing to do with Miss Miller,” said Hladun.
Students are also saddened by the loss of Ms. Miller and a possibility of losing the ceramics program.
“It's definitely sad to think that the ceramic pathways coming to an end for God knows how long that is,” said Senior Riley Nelson. “I think the biggest, you know, sadness, comes with this is Miller leaving. Luckily, she will be teaching at the Middle School as a ceramic teacher.”
